The position reports directly to the Metal & Pipefitting Shop Supervisor, Key Responsibilities Perform layout, fabrication, fitting, and welding of vessel components. Prepare materials for fabrication (layout, sawing, punching, drilling, coping). Cut and weld various metals using FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes. Operate welding and metalworking equipment: grinders, drills, sanders, TIG/MIG machines, electrode welders, torches, saws, and presses. Work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to meet specifications and tolerances. Construct jigs, templates, and tooling for projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and safety/maintenance manuals. Perform quality checks and ensure work meets schedule, budget, and classification standards.
