As a subject-matter expert, you will provide both technical guidance and hands-on support for horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) and tray sealing equipment. Reporting to the HFFS Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for machine assembly, factory acceptance testing (FAT), field installations, upgrades, and emergency service. Does this work interest you? Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install, and integrate complex machinery, applying advanced technical knowledge and independent problem-solving. Ensure equipment meets inspection, testing, quality, and operational standards. Lead or supervise customer personnel during equipment installation, integration, and service activities. Diagnose and resolve equipment discrepancies. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend product enhancements. Interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, specifications, manuals, and technical instructions. Collaborate with Operations to resolve customer inquiries and provide timely technical support. Partner with Sales and Engineering to address installation, integration, and service-related issues. Conduct final assembly, quality testing, and shipment preparation for new equipment. Prepare detailed trip reports to document equipment status, service performed, and potential parts or upgrade opportunities. What's in it for you? The Solutions Consultant (Public Sector) will provide high-quality demonstrations of the product to prospective customers by working with sales staff and clients to understand the customer's business and workflows. They will also be responsible for maintaining content used by both sales staff and clients. The Solutions Consultant will mentor sales staff on product knowledge and be the go-to resource for all technical requests during the pre-sales phase. What you'll do: Provide the necessary tools and processes to accelerate deals, execute contracts, and improve sales team efficacy. Connect with a variety of customers to help drive sales across all verticals including manufacturing, facilities management, government, and other maintenance and operational businesses. Team with sales to present MaintainX to prospective clients, using examples appropriate to their business and communication needs. Import real customer data into trial accounts so the customer can interact with their own assets and engage with the platform in the most compelling way. Be the go-to product expert who can accurately respond to technical product questions from across the sales teams. Stay informed on product updates (3x/week on average) and incorporate the latest functionality into demos, as needed. Build trust with customer stakeholders based on product and functional expertise. Learn to anticipate customer needs. Utilize your intuitive consulting and selling skills to engage with customer pain points and present possible Sales with MaintainX. Collaborate with a Solutions Architect to develop customer-specific integrations, between MaintainX and 3rd party software, as needed. As a member of a cross-departmental sales team, work with marketing, product management, engineering, implementation, and customer support to find solutions for prospective customers. Develop and launch new sales assets and collateral. Keep existing sales assets and collateral up-to-date. Mentor sales staff by reinforcing product knowledge and messaging/positioning from our product marketing managers, during collaborations. Collect marketing and product feedback from day-to-day customer interactions, and provide feedback to the product marketing team. About you: 7+ years of related experience, such as sales, implementation, solutions building, or engineering. Understanding and experience with Public Sector compliance, IT policies, and deployment models. Experienced in working with Systems integrator teams for implementation and deployment planning and scoping Experience working with Enterprise and Public Sector Cybersecurity and compliance teams for compliance documentation, ATO conversations, and navigating cybersecurity policies. Background in asset management is preferred Prior consulting and sales experience and analytical problem-solving skills is a plus. Comfortable multi-tasking and keeping the energy high. Ossid, based in Rocky Mount, NC, is a manufacturer of high-speed tray packaging, weigh/price labeling equipment and form fill seal packaging solutions. Ossid provides solutions across numerous markets, including fresh and processed meats, medical devices, convenience foods and consumer goods. Ossid is a division of Pro Mach, a leading provider of integrated packaging and processing solutions for over 20,000 customers worldwide.

Ossid is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support our customers throughout the full lifecycle of our machinery. As a subject-matter expert, you will provide both technical guidance and hands-on support for horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) and tray sealing equipment. This role requires problem-solving, innovation, and a commitment to helping customers optimize their operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Reporting to the HFFS Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for machine assembly, factory acceptance testing (FAT), field installations, upgrades, and emergency service.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install, and integrate complex machinery, applying advanced technical knowledge and independent problem-solving.
  • Ensure equipment meets inspection, testing, quality, and operational standards.
  • Lead or supervise customer personnel during equipment installation, integration, and service activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend product enhancements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, specifications, manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Collaborate with Operations to resolve customer inquiries and provide timely technical support.
  • Partner with Sales and Engineering to address installation, integration, and service-related issues.
  • Conduct final assembly, quality testing, and shipment preparation for new equipment.
  • Prepare detailed trip reports to document equipment status, service performed, and potential parts or upgrade opportunities.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support, machinery assembly, or servicing electro-mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (primarily domestic).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Mechanical and electrical proficiency, with hands-on assembly and automation experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and independent decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings, including wiring schematics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
