Schedule & Role Structure This role follows a Thursday through Monday schedule, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. You will open and close the building and fully lead the Saturday and Sunday operations, ensuring smooth execution and accountability across the outbound team. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Requirements Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals, including ability to write routine reports and correspondence Good organization and planning skills as well as problem solving Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, shipping documents and procedure manuals Ability to work well in a team environment and commit to team goals Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of ERP system software, preferably SAP Forklift Experience Pre-employment drug screening required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESnot limited to the following
  • Accurately receive material and/or pick and ship orders
  • Ensure all paperwork completed properly and documents maintained for shipping purposes
  • Organize product efficiently and maintain inventories
  • Pull products from yard and warehouse as required
  • Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties
  • General warehouse duties and maintenance as needed
  • Restock materials as and when required
  • Other duties as required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESE
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Accuracy in picking and shipping orders
  • Organized team player with a strong aptitude to performing tasks accurately
  • Punctual, efficient and professional
  • Proven ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous warehouse experience desirable
  • Knowledge of or previous experience in the Plumbing/Electrical industry an asset
  • Current Forklift Certification desirable
  • Experience using computer systems
Final candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
