This includes editing employee punches when necessary, and tracking attendance occurrences (late arrivals, unexcused absences, etc). Responds to emergencies in a managerial and technical capacity. Driving company and department initiatives, and ensuring all key performance indicators are met or exceeded. Manage all facets of the Warehouse Management System to ensure data integrity and smooth, consistent operational processes. What you bring to the table Proven Leader, with at least 5 years of experience effectively leading teams of 40 or more, including hiring, documentation, termination, training, and acting as an effective change agent. Experience managing and developing salaried exempt leaders. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Thorough understanding of warehouse and distribution center procedures and concepts. Ability to make difficult decisions, solve problems, prioritize assignments, generate and utilize reports, and manage projects. Advanced experience with ERP & WMS systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite. Prior experience of 1-3 years in directing internal and external sanitation processes Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or an associated field preferred. This is a HANDS-ON position. It requires the ability to work until the job is completed on a daily basis. Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods of time. This role leads and supports a diverse team of staff, interns, and 50-100 daily volunteers, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and with dignity, equity, and compassion - and ensuring an excellent volunteer experience. The Manager serves as the floor leader, coordinating the flow of people, goods, and services while maintaining safe, organized, and welcoming spaces. Key responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, tracking and reporting volunteer engagement and service delivery data, ensuring staff maintain accurate records, managing inventory and supply ordering in coordination with the Director, and supporting organizational events and campaigns. The position also represents SHCS to visitors, funders, and partners, helping demonstrate the impact of essential services. Through this work, the Manager advances SHCS's mission of building a community united to ensure every child and adult is free from poverty, rooted in an anti-racism, anti-oppression approach. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Management (65-75%) Provide structure, supervision, training, evaluation, and professional development for staff in the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Donation Station. Lead the development, tracking, analysis, and reporting of program goals, outcomes, and team performance metrics in alignment with the SHCS Strategic Plan. Ensure services are delivered with dignity, fairness, and compassion by training, coaching, and providing feedback to staff, interns, and volunteers. Ensure part numbers, counts and lot numbers picked to be packaged match shipment request paperwork. Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Accurately enter the ship-to address from ERP paperwork into the shipper's software. Weigh and enter the box dimension into the shipper's software. Affix the shipping label on packed correct cartons. Records shipping costs from Shipper’s software. Enter the shipper’s shipment tracking number into ERP and send to the Inside Sales team and customer on all orders. Move and restructure the organization of the stockroom to make space for inventory. Ensure part numbers, counts and lot numbers are documented accurately and in the proper place. Implement safety procedures and standards in the Warehouse. Read the digital or printed requests, pull the items, and place them in the correct box or load container for order packing. Retrieve the items needed on the packing list from inventory, check that they are in good condition, wrap them securely and pack them for shipping. We're seeking a Senior Warehouse Operations Manager who will be responsible for the overall management and effectiveness of distribution center operations. Provide world-class operational support to ensure customer and internal business needs are met or exceeded consistently.   • Primary point of contact for all Warehouse Supervisors:
  • Work cohesively with organizational Leadership members to ensure all business objectives are met.
  • Monitors and assists Supervisors with all daily warehouse operations, including inbound freight, receiving purchase orders, stocking storage locations, vendor interaction, quality control, troubleshooting inventory issues, and picking/packing/shipping of customer orders.
  • Ensure work areas are safe, and employees are following proper work procedures and protocols.
  • Administering corrective action when guidelines are not followed.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining daily work schedules (scheduling overtime, ending work shifts early if work volume dictates, etc) to ensure business needs are met.
  • Maintain time and attendance data within the company's timekeeping system. This includes editing employee punches when necessary, and tracking attendance occurrences (late arrivals, unexcused absences, etc).
  • Responds to emergencies in a managerial and technical capacity.
  • Driving company and department initiatives, and ensuring all key performance indicators are met or exceeded.
  • Manage all facets of the Warehouse Management System to ensure data integrity and smooth, consistent operational processes. Constantly look for new and innovative ways to increase the effectiveness of labor and system resources.
  • Ability to design and implement lasting positive change.

  • Understand and lead the NSF preparation and audit needs
  • Knowledge of distribution center safety rules and regulations
  • Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and secure at all times.
  • Lead efforts and direction for all sanitization operations for the facility, including:
  • a. Outside contractor cleaning guidelines
  • b. Internal sanitization practices
  • Serve as Sanitation Supervisor
  • Lead all Distribution Center sanitation aspects; ex, daily sanitation tasks, pest control, stocking cleaning supplies.
  • Ensure all housekeeping and sanitation activities are performed as defined.
  • Serves as a proxy to the on-site quality program
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table

  • Proven Leader, with at least 5 years of experience effectively leading teams of 40 or more, including hiring, documentation, termination, training, and acting as an effective change agent.
  • Experience managing and developing salaried exempt leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse and distribution center procedures and concepts.
  • Ability to make difficult decisions, solve problems, prioritize assignments, generate and utilize reports, and manage projects.
  • Advanced experience with ERP & WMS systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite.
  • Prior experience of 1-3 years in directing internal and external sanitation processes
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or an associated field preferred.
  • This is a HANDS-ON position. It requires the ability to work until the job is completed on a daily basis. Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods of time.
