Communicate daily with the warehouse staff, flaker operators, warehouse loading crew. Have daily meetings to start to the day with expectations. Once established in the role, within six months, they will learn the traffic and rail coordinator jobs so they can rotate between one another when one of them is on PTO. Take an active involvement in the company CURE/SUSA/SSHE and facilitate the involvement of subordinates. In the absence of the Logistics Coordinator, schedule all packaged bulk shipments out of the Chicago Plant. In the absence of the Rail Coordinator, handle the essential functions of the position, including updating railcar receipts, preparing daily rail switch and updating purchasing records. Assist the Logistics Coordinator and Supply Chain Manager with the other distribution/ logistic related functions as directed.
