The Warehouse Lead (2nd Shift 4-Day-10-Hour Schedule) performs all essential duties of a Material Handler while providing daily guidance, support, and coordination for the warehouse team. This role helps ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently throughout the manufacturing facility, supports accurate inventory control, and maintains effective flow of materials to production lines. The Material Handler Lead serves as the point of contact for workflow questions, assists with training, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily direction to Material Handlers to support safe and efficient warehouse operations. Assist with training team members on forklift operation, safety procedures, scanning equipment (PDA), and material flow processes. Communicate production material needs to ensure timely delivery to work areas. Monitor task completion and help reassign work during high‑volume or urgent needs. Support supervisors by reporting safety issues, equipment concerns, or performance‑related observations. Serve as the escalation point for questions regarding storage locations, labeling, scanning, or material movements. Operate forklifts (sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck) to move, load, unload, and stack materials throughout the facility. Perform daily pre‑shift forklift inspections and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders. Store materials in designated warehouse locations with proper labeling and organization. Transport raw materials and components to production lines as needed. Move finished goods from production lines to storage or shipping areas. Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and scanning (PDA use). Wrap and band pallets as needed. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including solid‑waste disposal (boxes, plastic wrap, foam, etc.). Open boxes, sort materials, and transfer them to designated areas. Assist with sweeping, organizing, and debris removal. Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues. Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Participate in safety training and meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of warehouse or material handling experience; 1+ year in a lead or trainer role preferred. Experience operating forklifts; valid forklift certification strongly preferred. Strong understanding of receiving, shipping, and warehouse inventory processes. Ability to interpret packing slips, shipping documents, and inventory records. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices. Experience with inventory management systems (WMS, scanners, or PDAs). Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk/stand for an extended period.
