Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, or designee, this position is responsible for providing first line support to all areas of the Warehouse. This position focuses on daily shipments, receivables, quality inspection, picking, packing, cutting and forklift operation. This individual will also be working on computers to solve inventory problems, counting and reporting inventory accuracy, or ensuring efficiency of the warehouse through replenishing supplies and/or organizing work areas. SHIPPING Process all outbound shipments including necessary packaging, and processing of appropriate paperwork. Ensure that all parts are picked correctly and verify quantity and quality before loading into the truck. Accurately process all orders in a timely manner and communicate any issues to warehouse manager. Organize shipping area, in accordance with Lapp safety and housekeeping requirements, to ensure a proper operational flow of material and storage of tools and supplies. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and work instructions and for participating in ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001 controlled document reviews and approvals as applicable to the tasks in this area CABLE CUTTING Process the cutting of cable, checking cable legends, verifying quantity and quality on customer orders in a timely manner. Apply correct labels for outbound shipments and to reels with cable balances for proper put-away. Operating of cutting machine including loading, wrapping, unloading, and reporting transactions in SAP. Responsible for monthly machine Preventive Maintenance and reporting any issues to the warehouse manager Organize workstation area, in accordance with Lapp safety and housekeeping requirements, to ensure a proper operational flow of material and storage of tools and supplies. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and work instructions and for participating in ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001 controlled document reviews and approvals as applicable to the tasks in this area RECEIVING Unloading, staging, processing, and handling of all incoming shipments. Responsible for ensuring that all inbound receipts are checked for damages, discrepancies are noted on the delivery receipt, incoming inspection records are maintained, and issues are communicated to purchasing, warehouse and transportation departments. Prepare all inbound shipments for proper storage and assist in put-away. Organize receiving area, in accordance with Lapp safety and housekeeping requirements, to ensure a proper operational flow of material and storage of tools and supplies. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and work instructions and for participating in ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001 controlled document reviews and approvals as applicable to the tasks in this area PUT-AWAY Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations for receiving. Verify put-away labels match product Physically put away received products and update inventory management system using RF scanning equipment, ensuring labels are faced to the front for easy access Routine organization of reels in racks and sweeping of aisles, in accordance with Lapp safety and housekeeping requirements, to ensure a proper operational flow of material and storage of tools and supplies. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and work instructions and for participating in ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001 controlled document reviews and approvals as applicable to the tasks in this area PICKING Pick reels from designated bins as per order requirements Verify legend to batch labels and Pick TO sheets before having cable wrapped Routine organization of reels in racks and sweeping of aisles, in accordance with Lapp safety and housekeeping requirements, to ensure a proper operational flow of material and storage of tools and supplies. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and work instructions and for participating in ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001 controlled document reviews and approvals as applicable to the tasks in this area.
