Dolly's Life of Many Colors Museum is a vibrant and immersive museum experience celebrating the life and legacy of country music icon Dolly Parton. Located on the third floor of her new SongTeller Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee (123 3rd Ave. N), the museum spans over 20,000 square feet and is positioned as her largest exhibition to date.
From her humble beginnings in the Smoky Mountains to global superstardom, the museum invites guests to walk through Dolly's story – the music, movies, style, philanthropy, and the heart behind it all. Using state-of-the-art multimedia, gallery exhibits, and personal artifacts, the museum highlights her songwriting, iconic performances, fashion, and values of family, faith, and imagination that have defined her journey.

Position Summary
The Manager of Warehouse Operations is responsible for the overall management, performance, and scalability of a centralized merchandise warehouse supporting multiple retail businesses. The role oversees all inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, storage strategy, and warehouse staff while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and service-level excellence.
This role leads day-to-day warehouse operations, develops systems and processes that support growth, and partners cross-functionally with retail, finance, and inventory teams to ensure product availability, cost control, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Design and optimize warehouse layout, slotting, and storage strategies to support multiple retail businesses.
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as order accuracy, fulfillment time, inventory turns, and shrink.
- Inventory Control and Accuracy
- Ensure accurate inventory management across all supported retail businesses.
- Partner with inventory control and finance stakeholders to oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
- Implement controls to prevent shrink, damage, and loss.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across warehouse management systems (WMSs) and POS integrations.
- Team Leadership and Workforce Management
- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead warehouse staff.
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Manage labor planning to align staff levels with volume and demand.
- Safety, Compliance, and Facilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Develop and enforce safety programs, training, and incident reporting procedures.
- Oversee facility maintenance, equipment operation, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure proper handling and storage or merchandise to prevent damage or loss.
- Technology and Systems
- Oversee the effective use of warehouse management systems, inventory tools, and reporting platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, tracking, and data visibility.
- Train staff on systems, scanning processes, and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with retail operations, merchandise, events, and e-commerce teams to support inventory needs and timelines.
- Collaborate with finance partners on cost control, budgeting, and inventory valuation.
- Support new business launches, seasonal peaks, and promotional initiatives.
- Process Improvement and scalability
- Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare the warehouse operation to scale as additional businesses or volume are added.
- Develop contingency plans for peak periods, supply disruptions, or staffing challenges.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse or distribution center management experience, preferably supporting retail and multi-business environments.
- Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and safety standards.
- Experience with WMSs, inventory systems, and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred
- Experience supporting multiple retail brands or business units from a centralized warehouse.
- Experience with POS and omni-channel fulfillment systems.
