WSI is currently seeking Warehouse Associates and Forklift Operators for its distribution centers. We currently have openings on Rotating 12 hours shifts (day/night). Under general supervision, the Material Handler/Forklift Operator performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store and ship material but not limited to receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions as to how to perform required tasks and results expected. Essential Functions Operates material handling equipment, including conveyor belts to receive, store, and ship material. Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required. Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control. Must be able to work overtime, and on scheduled days off, with little or no advance notice. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Must be able to understand, read and write basic English. Must be able to perform basic math calculations: Addition, Subtraction and Multiplication Must be able to read and understand the English alphabet. Must be able to coordinate a series of activities simultaneously. Must show willingness and ability to work as part of a team. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Truck Loader – • Inspects trailers before loading products. • Counts units on preload spot and compares with shipping documents. • Moves products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer. • Arranges the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines. • Properly secures the load for travel. Job Description

WSI is currently seeking Warehouse Associates and Forklift Operators for its distribution centers.

We currently have openings on Rotating 12 hours shifts (day/night).

Under general supervision, the Material Handler/Forklift Operator performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store and ship material but not limited to receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions as to how to perform required tasks and results expected.

Essential Functions

  • Operates material handling equipment, including conveyor belts to receive, store, and ship material.
  • Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
  • Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control.
  • Must be able to work overtime, and on scheduled days off, with little or no advance notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to understand, read and write basic English.
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations: Addition, Subtraction and Multiplication
  • Must be able to read and understand the English alphabet.
  • Must be able to coordinate a series of activities simultaneously.
  • Must show willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be observant, detailed and safety oriented.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. throughout the day.
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.
