Perform necessary physical inventories as requested by customer to determine basis for any discrepancies between physical and book records and to ensure that proper receiving and shipping procedures are being followed. Evaluate new warehouse associate's forklift skills and train them in accordance with company policy, before they begin operating a forklift. Maintain a relationship with all personnel that will provide a high level of efficiency. Prepare paperwork and reports. Maintain good rapport with carriers that handle inbound and outbound freight from the warehouse. Monitor and notify the railroad of railcar activity. Perform administrative functions as necessary. METROPARK WAREHOUSES

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards to achieve the appropriate level of volume with time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and goals.

Salary: $50-60K annually 

Location: Missouri 

Shift Time: Monday- Friday 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of warehouse associates to ensure high level of efficiency.
  • Manage facilities, which encompasses space utilization, product grouping, handling procedures and good storage practices.
  • Ensure that all security precautions are being maintained.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of safety regulations, implement our ongoing safety programs and enforcement of safety procedures.
  • Review housekeeping procedures and equipment on a regular basis to ensure a clean, neat, orderly warehouse and properly maintained outside ground.
  • Perform necessary physical inventories as requested by customer to determine basis for any discrepancies between physical and book records and to ensure that proper receiving and shipping procedures are being followed.
  • Evaluate new warehouse associate's forklift skills and train them in accordance with company policy, before they begin operating a forklift.
  • Maintain a relationship with all personnel that will provide a high level of efficiency.
  • Prepare paperwork and reports.
  • Maintain good rapport with carriers that handle inbound and outbound freight from the warehouse.
  • Monitor and notify the railroad of railcar activity.
  • Perform administrative functions as necessary.

  • Proven work experience in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
