Develop and implement building layout and system designs, such as racking, shelving, work cells, and machines, using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve flow. Create, implement and maintain quality standards, operating procedures, and workflow systems to monitor and enhance product quality and productivity. Lead and manage improvement projects, establishing milestones and deadlines, while balancing trade-offs between time and resources to align with strategic vision. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other data tools to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements. Identify and qualify new equipment and technologies, assessing installation, performance, and lifespan to ensure they meet project requirements. Validate process, tool, and equipment designs to requirements aligned with internal and external customers, driving consensus with global teams. Analyze warehouse processes, schedules, methods, and other data to enable strategic planning and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with all government laws and regulations. Review and calculate labor, material, and other operational costs along with reviewing schedules and future requirements to support decision making. Eliminate waste in warehouse operations and apply innovative systems to improve workflows. Evaluate and integrate new technologies aligned with strategic objectives. Develop new and improve existing warehouse processes, document standards and train warehouse staff in operational standards and safe work practices. What you'll bring Education Bachelor of Science in an engineering field from an ABET accredited program, preferably manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering. Advanced degrees, relevant licenses or certifications are a plus. Experience Skilled in designing, validating, and implementing warehouse automation systems and equipment. Strong understanding of manufacturing execution and warehouse management systems. Proven ability in inventory management, process optimization, and workflow analysis. Proficient with lean manufacturing tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and other methods to facilitate continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to manage the entire lifecycle of cross-functional projects, from planning and design to implementation and delivery. Strong ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, as well as communicate project status and technical details effectively to senior leadership. Proficient in planning and optimizing workflow, equipment placement, space utilization, material flow, and site layout to enhance warehouse efficiency. Track record of identifying and eliminating waste through innovative systems and technology. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve delays and inefficiencies through application of demonstrated trouble-shooting skills and the application of engineering principles. Experience in integrating new technology and methods to improve process transparency and management system design. Job Responsibilities Responsible for supporting supervisors and staff to ensure operational excellence accordance with all established business process compliance SOPs. Ensures daily operations are maintained as scheduled. Responsible for department procurement and vendor supplies as well as seasonal inventory par levels (ex. salt, floor finish, bulbs) and shipping and receiving. Implement SKU control program using cloud-based technology. Develop monthly-quarterly inventory reports and provide trend reports based on SKU usage. Establish par levels for each department use in alignment with best practices, procedures and SOPS. Assists with POM Manager with problem solving, the evaluation of the effectiveness and recommends alternatives for work methods, procedures to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product; manage to ensure warehouse layout is optimally aligned for maximum efficiency. Coaches, trains and develops team to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of performance in the warehouse. Models, leads and inspires safety leadership culture and recognition, and all key initiatives relating to our core values, to create a positive workplace environment. Ensures 100% implementation of Aramark Safety Programs, State and Federal Regulations. Troubleshoots and resolves safety, service and other operational problems in collaboration with warehouse and administrative functions. Ensures daily operations are maintained as scheduled. Ensure all business records, documentation and administrative standards are maintained as required to include personnel records, train deliveries, product and asset inventories. Owns and fosters effective communication at all levels of the organization as well as liaison with client local operations councils and workgroups. Helps prepare, develop and execute action plans on OSHA, Business Process Compliance Audits. Assuring that all Company, Operating, Administrative and Business Conduct Policies, and normal business ethical standards, including client's Code of Conduct, are closely followed by all employees within their operations. Qualifications At least 3-5 years of relevant experience leading a inventory control program. The ability to work efficiently and independently is important as well. What you'll do
Emphasize and encourage safe work practices, ensuring all processes comply with safety standards.
Develop and implement building layout and system designs, such as racking, shelving, work cells, and machines, using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve flow.
Create, implement and maintain quality standards, operating procedures, and workflow systems to monitor and enhance product quality and productivity.
Lead and manage improvement projects, establishing milestones and deadlines, while balancing trade-offs between time and resources to align with strategic vision.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other data tools to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
Identify and qualify new equipment and technologies, assessing installation, performance, and lifespan to ensure they meet project requirements.
Validate process, tool, and equipment designs to requirements aligned with internal and external customers, driving consensus with global teams.
Analyze warehouse processes, schedules, methods, and other data to enable strategic planning and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all government laws and regulations.
Review and calculate labor, material, and other operational costs along with reviewing schedules and future requirements to support decision making.
Eliminate waste in warehouse operations and apply innovative systems to improve workflows.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies aligned with strategic objectives.
Develop new and improve existing warehouse processes, document standards and train warehouse staff in operational standards and safe work practices.
What you'll bring
Education
Bachelor of Science in an engineering field from an ABET accredited program, preferably manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering.
Advanced degrees, relevant licenses or certifications are a plus.
Experience
Skilled in designing, validating, and implementing warehouse automation systems and equipment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing execution and warehouse management systems.
Proven ability in inventory management, process optimization, and workflow analysis.
Proficient with lean manufacturing tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and other methods to facilitate continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to manage the entire lifecycle of cross-functional projects, from planning and design to implementation and delivery.
Strong ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, as well as communicate project status and technical details effectively to senior leadership.
Proficient in planning and optimizing workflow, equipment placement, space utilization, material flow, and site layout to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Track record of identifying and eliminating waste through innovative systems and technology.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve delays and inefficiencies through application of demonstrated trouble-shooting skills and the application of engineering principles.
Experience in integrating new technology and methods to improve process transparency and management system design.
Ability to understand and apply new technologies to move systems forward and enhance outcomes.
