Position: 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler Job Summary Support the production and repack operations through the physical movement of products that are required to be processed through the drying/curing room. Pay: $16 USD/hr + $1 Shift Premium Responsibilities Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or using manual pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment as assigned. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. Maintain an organized and clean work area. Perform duties in compliance with all safety policies and practices. Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area. Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control. Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities. Follow all Environmental and Safety policies. Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity. Position requires the ability to push/pull objects using standard manual pallet jack or similar material handling equipment. Ability to perform duties in a high-temperature environment (150-170 degrees Fahrenheit) for short periods of time (typically less than 5 minutes). Such conditions can be encountered during the storage and retrieval of products from the heat-curing room Physical Demands Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity. Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
