Non-CDL Delivery Driver (part-time)

Description Position at Summit Contractor Supply, a Colony division This position is for a Delivery Driver (no CDL required) to assist PART-TIME primarily on Monday, Thursday, and Friday each week. You will operate either an F150 pickup truck, a delivery van, or a 16' box truck to make deliveries to customer locations, including to construction project jobsites. The schedule for this position is 7:30am-4:30pm on Monday/Thursday/Friday. A Little About Your Day: From day to day, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. You will load the branch vehicles (described above) with building products, supplies, materials, and/or packed orders, sorting and organizing the merchandise so that it can be easily located. You will also ensure all product is appropriately secured, included by strapping down as needed. You will assist in warehouse responsibilities such as picking/packing, organizing, loading/unloading, inventory counts, and other tasks as needed. Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform any needed pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety. You will check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received. This position is for a Delivery Driver (no CDL required) to assist PART-TIME primarily on Monday, Thursday, and Friday each week. You will operate either an F150 pickup truck, a delivery van, or a 16' box truck to make deliveries to customer locations, including to construction project jobsites. The schedule for this position is 7:30am-4:30pm on Monday/Thursday/Friday.
A Little About Your Day:
- From day to day, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- You will load the branch vehicles (described above) with building products, supplies, materials, and/or packed orders, sorting and organizing the merchandise so that it can be easily located. You will also ensure all product is appropriately secured, included by strapping down as needed.
- You will assist in warehouse responsibilities such as picking/packing, organizing, loading/unloading, inventory counts, and other tasks as needed.
- Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform any needed pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
- You will check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.

What You’ll Need for Success:
- A minimum of three years of prior driving experience and deliveries.
- You must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid driver’s license with a sustained record of safe driving.
- A Commercial Driver’s License (A or B) is a plus but not required.
- Prior forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
