As a Warehouse Associate and Driver at our Visalia, CA location, you will split your time between warehouse operations and delivery services, ensuring efficient handling, transportation, and stocking of furniture and home furnishing products. You will be DOT certified and responsible for driving within California, with occasional (once monthly) out-of-state trips requiring hotel stays. In addition to driving, you will unload trucks using a pallet jack, stock shelves at delivery destinations, and perform warehouse duties as outlined below. Hands-On Work: Assist with loading, unloading, and staging large, heavy goods (furniture and parcels) from delivery trucks and vendor shipments, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Inventory & Space Management: Store products in designated warehouse locations, maintain stock accuracy through regular counts, and contribute to projects that optimize warehouse efficiency and space utilization. Quality & Safety: Prepare and repair products with care to meet quality standards, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and follow Blueground's safety policies and legal regulations to ensure a safe work environment. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company. Position Responsibilities: Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. Perform daily safety check of the assigned forklift / pallet jack in accordance with company policy. Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines. Assist warehouse crew with duties in emergency and non-emergency situations. Perform damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy. Perform selection, shipping, receiving, forklift put-away/replenishment, returns, auditing and/or other warehouse duties per business need. Provide oversight, direction and input on work performed by associates in assigned area. Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork. As a Warehouse Associate and Driver at our Visalia, CA location, you will split your time between warehouse operations and delivery services, ensuring efficient handling, transportation, and stocking of furniture and home furnishing products. You will be DOT certified and responsible for driving within California, with occasional (once monthly) out-of-state trips requiring hotel stays. In addition to driving, you will unload trucks using a pallet jack, stock shelves at delivery destinations, and perform warehouse duties as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery and Driving

  • Safe Transportation: Operate company box truck to deliver furniture and home furnishing products within California and, once a month, to further regions, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Unloading and Stocking: Use a pallet jack / liftgate to unload trucks at delivery destinations, stock shelves with products, and ensure accurate placement and organization of goods.
  • Route Management: Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with traffic laws.
  • Overnight Travel: Conduct monthly out-of-state deliveries, including hotel stays, ensuring proper documentation of expenses and adherence to company travel policies.

Warehouse Operations

  • Order Picking: Accurately pick orders for furniture and home furnishing products using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring attention to detail and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Hands-On Work: Assist with loading, unloading, and staging large, heavy goods (furniture and parcels) from delivery trucks and vendor shipments, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Inventory & Space Management: Store products in designated warehouse locations, maintain stock accuracy through regular counts, and contribute to projects that optimize warehouse efficiency and space utilization.
  • Quality & Safety: Prepare and repair products with care to meet quality standards, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and follow Blueground's safety policies and legal regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team to streamline processes, support team goals, and maintain a cohesive and productive work environment.
