This role will provide value for our clients in both pre-sales design and post-sales implementation. This role will perform the following responsibilities: Collaborate with the sales team to build a winning strategy for our clients. Perform necessary Pre-Sales technical functions to create systems designs. Build Bill of Materials (BoM), create illustrations and diagrams and provide Statements of Work (SoW). Relay technical information to both technical and non-technical staff. Post-Sales Implementation of systems designed. Produce post Implementation project documentation. Provide proficient end-user systems administration training (post implementation) of CompuNet installed solutions Develop strategic relationships with our key manufacturer Partner SE's. Role Description

This is a full-time Data Scientist role with Newton Research, Inc.  This role requires the candidate to work at our offices in Needham, MA. The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing production-level data models and algorithms, analyzing data, designing experiments, and interpreting results. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring other data scientists, and presenting findings to stakeholders. We value self-motivated individuals who enjoy working on small teams in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python, including familiarity with data science libraries like pandas and scikit-learn.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to approach data challenges systematically and creatively.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
