About TodayTix Group: We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Data to join our team and lead the way in building a trusted, scalable, and compliant data foundation at TodayTix Group. What Success Looks Like: Trusted Data Foundation → Canonical data definitions, taxonomies, and models are in place and consistently adopted across teams. Compliance & Governance → Company-wide adherence to data privacy and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI), with scalable governance practices. Cross-Team Enablement → Teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal can easily access and leverage data, with improved literacy and usability. Operational Efficiency → Clear processes, documentation, and data pipelines that reduce duplication, errors, and manual work, supporting business scalability. What You’ll Do: Own Data Stewardship & Taxonomy – Define and maintain canonical data definitions, hierarchies, and taxonomies to ensure clarity and consistency. Design Reliable Data Models – Partner with engineers and analysts to build performant, scalable data models and pipelines (dbt/Redshift/Segment/Metabase). Lead Compliance & Governance – Oversee privacy and compliance programs, partnering with Legal and Security on data retention, consent management, and audit practices. Drive Data Enablement – Write clear, concise data documentation, run trainings, and build company-wide data literacy so teams can confidently use and trust data. Bridge Technical & Business Needs – Act as translator between technical stakeholders and business teams, ensuring alignment and accessibility. We’re Looking for Someone With: 7+ years of experience in data roles (analytics engineering, data architecture, governance, or related). Strong SQL fluency and the ability to design and critique data models. Proven experience with data taxonomy, metadata management, or information architecture. Demonstrated ownership of data compliance/privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to make complex topics simple. A structured, organized thinker with “librarian instincts”—precise, meticulous, and obsessive about labeling and organizing data. Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Finance. Nice to Have: Experience with dbt, Redshift, Segment, and Metabase. Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or cultural/live events. A passion for the arts and live experiences. Salary ranges are determined by competitive market data for our size, stage, and industry, experience and location of the applicant, and our internal salary banding, which is reviewed at least annually. - Operational Efficiency → Clear processes, documentation, and data pipelines that reduce duplication, errors, and manual work, supporting business scalability.
What You’ll Do:
- Own Data Stewardship & Taxonomy – Define and maintain canonical data definitions, hierarchies, and taxonomies to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Design Reliable Data Models – Partner with engineers and analysts to build performant, scalable data models and pipelines (dbt/Redshift/Segment/Metabase).
- Lead Compliance & Governance – Oversee privacy and compliance programs, partnering with Legal and Security on data retention, consent management, and audit practices.
- Drive Data Enablement – Write clear, concise data documentation, run trainings, and build company-wide data literacy so teams can confidently use and trust data.
- Bridge Technical & Business Needs – Act as translator between technical stakeholders and business teams, ensuring alignment and accessibility.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- 7+ years of experience in data roles (analytics engineering, data architecture, governance, or related).
- Strong SQL fluency and the ability to design and critique data models.
- Proven experience with data taxonomy, metadata management, or information architecture.
- Demonstrated ownership of data compliance/privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to make complex topics simple.
- A structured, organized thinker with “librarian instincts”—precise, meticulous, and obsessive about labeling and organizing data.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Finance.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with dbt, Redshift, Segment, and Metabase.
- Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or cultural/live events.
- A passion for the arts and live experiences.
Salary ranges are determined by competitive market data for our size, stage, and industry, experience and location of the applicant, and our internal salary banding, which is reviewed at least annually.
We aim to be as transparent, equitable, and fair as possible. Qualified candidates and our Talent Acquisition team will discuss salary and benefits in the initial conversation, and final salary will be determined after candidates complete the interview process. We expect that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at TTG fall healthily throughout the range based on the above factors.
