The Role

This opportunity is for a candidate who is passionate about Information Protection and Compliance and has a deep understanding of how to leverage the Proofpoint Information Protection suite to meet compliance control objectives. The role demands the interaction with both business leaders and technical staff at large-scale enterprises to drive a stronger information protection and compliance posture. The individual will lead the ongoing implementation of the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite of products. The implementation life cycle will include clarifying customer objectives and determining how to best leverage the product functionality to meet the customer needs, recommending configuration options and policies, configuring products, assisting with testing and monitoring, and product knowledge transfer. The successful candidate will be organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership ability, and experience within Proofpoint Information Protection and compliance. The candidate must take initiative, have strong project management skills, be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple customers at any one time. They need to take responsibility and accept accountability for successful customer engagements.

Your day-to-day

  • Engage with our customers to understand their structure and workflow in order to become a trusted advisor
  • Drive complex implementations while working side by side with the customers to meet their Information Protection security and compliance requirements
  • Work with internal teams (e.g. engineering, sales, and product management) and external partners to ensure that customer requirements are well understood and tracked
  • Coordinate with multiple parties to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution to customer issues, and completion of projects
  • Mentor other PCMS resources to help improve their technical knowledge, project management, and customer management skills based on your past experience
  • Knowledge of data protection tools including Proofpoint Email DLP, Cloud DLP, Endpoint DLP, DSPM and AEDLP.
  • Define and document the best practice techniques, processes, templates, and architectures for use by the managed services team

What you bring to the team

  • 5+ years industry experience in a Professional Services Consulting or similar role, preferably within Data Loss Prevention
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Information Protection and Compliance
  • Technical background in configuration of Dictionaries, RegEx, and Detector based logic
  • Experience with data protection tools including Proofpoint Email DLP, Cloud DLP, Endpoint DLP, DSPM and AEDLP
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong knowledge in writing and understanding Regular Expressions a plus
  • Must be comfortable with presenting and explaining technology to Senior Business Executives and people with high technical knowledge
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and influence skills
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and have a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Fortune 500 or other large customers
  • BA/BS or higher in related field
