This position will provide analytical support to HFH clinical teams as they work to house and improve the health of our clients who are experiencing homelessness. HFH clinical services are provided across DHS street medicine, interim housing, permanent housing, enriched residential care, and more. POSITION SUMMARY As a Data Platform Engineer, you will take ownership of the AWS and Databricks infrastructure, guiding the team in optimizing performance, security, and scalability. You will design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure processes, and drive integration projects with critical data sources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee Cloud Infrastructure Operations: Take ownership of managing AWS and Databricks environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance for data and analytics workflows. Optimize Resource Utilization and Cost Efficiency: Continuously analyze and adjust cloud resource configurations to balance performance with cost-effectiveness, leveraging auto-scaling and right-sizing strategies. Implement Security and Compliance Best Practices: Enforce robust identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance measures to safeguard cloud environments and meet regulatory standards. Design and Implement Scalable CI/CD Pipelines: Build automated pipelines for seamless deployment of data models, ETL processes, and analytics workloads across diverse data sources. Automate and Optimize Data Workflows: Enable real-time and batch data processing with continuous quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Enhance Pipeline Performance and Scalability: Optimize resource usage to handle varying data volumes while maintaining high performance and cost efficiency. Integrate Monitoring and Alerts: Implement tools to track pipeline health, detect failures, and notify teams for rapid issue resolution. Partner with Business Strategy & Analytics, Marketing, Revenue, and soccer (Sounders & Reign) to ensure deployment of cohesive end to end solutions that meet business and team needs. Introduce and recommend industry best practices and innovations to continuously improve the technical performance and competitive edge of the club QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, and DevOps. Proficiency in AWS and Databricks. Experience with Ticketmaster Integration: Proficiency in integrating and managing Ticketmaster data pipelines, including ticketing, event transactions, and real-time updates to support fan engagement and operational analytics. Openness to leverage innovative technologies, including AI tools. Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and Infrastructure as Code. Languages: Python – For scripting, automation, and developing data workflows in both AWS and Databricks. SQL – Essential for querying and transforming data within Databricks and other AWS data services like Redshift, Glue, and Athena. Scala – Crucial for developing and optimizing Apache Spark applications in Databricks. Bash – For automating system tasks, managing AWS CLI operations, and maintaining Databricks workflows via CLI. YAML/JSON – Key for Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management for AWS and Databricks environments WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a hybrid position working remotely and from our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire. Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
