Position Purpose

• Teach various courses in the Sport and Exercise Science

• Assign grades for courses as necessary

• Complete course assessment documentation as necessary

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Willingness to learn the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid, and/or distance learning (online) courses

• Knowledge and skills with software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience

• Demonstrated teaching experience

• Minimum of one year experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment

• Understanding of competencies required for specific courses

• Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students

• Applying diverse instructional strategies, including use of technology, in response to learner demographics and learning styles

• Excellent oral, written, and listening skills

Education

• Required: Master's degree in appropriate area for courses to be taught

• Preferred: Minimum of two years' experience in the profession

• Previous teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level

• Certification or license appropriate to specialty (e.g., NATA, ACSM, NSCA)
