ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Motivates qualified service technicians. Assists technicians in developing their skills. Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures. Ensures that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner. Provides technical support for technicians when necessary. Checks progress of each repair order throughout the day. Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality. Maintains safe work environment. The Graduate Nurse will be enrolled into the Nurse Residency Program, a twelve-month program that progresses through three phases: orientation; interactive classroom education; and independent self-directed leaning. The shop foreman ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and assist service manager to ensure the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Motivates qualified service technicians.
  • Assists technicians in developing their skills.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Ensures that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner.
  • Provides technical support for technicians when necessary.
  • Checks progress of each repair order throughout the day.
  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Maintains safe work environment.
  • Maintains professional appearance.

MARGINAL DUTIES:

  • Road tests vehicles to quality-check work performed.
  • Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Ensures the proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
  • Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly.
  • Assist to maintain customer follow-up program to confirm satisfaction with the service experience

PHYSICAL & ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Requires ability to bend, stand, stoop, climb and sit, sometimes for long periods or if/when inspecting a truck.
  • Requires performing accurate, knowledgeable detailed work.
  • Frequent telephone use.
  • Must be able to communicate and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasionally exposed to engine exhaust fumes.
  • Works overtime as required.

  • Monday-Friday 9am-6:30pm w/ 1 hour lunch
