As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of Traffic Engineering, ITS and emerging mobility projects for HNTB's clients. What You'll Do: Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided. Assist in the development of project specifications. Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans. Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members. Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects. Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables. Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience What You'll Bring: Develop micro-simulation models appropriate to specific project needs, including: VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS Conduct traffic analysis for traffic management plans including projecting and analyzing diversions and summarizing benefits and costs Develop and monitor budgets for project tasks. WHAT WILL I DO AS A DELIVERY COURIER? Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store. Deliver our cookies, milk and ice cream to our loyal fan base, in a timely and safe fashion. Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers whether in-person or by phone. Use Insomnia's delivery app to approved company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers. DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Excellent time management and organizational skills Knowledge of the 1-mile radius surrounding the store is a plus! This opportunity entails being responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects within the Traffic and ITS Department of the Pennsylvania Office. This position works closely with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design and delivery on projects related to traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems and emerging mobility. You will apply engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of Traffic Engineering, ITS and emerging mobility projects for HNTB's clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
  • Assist in the development of project specifications.
  • Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
  • Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
  • Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
  • Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
  • Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
  • Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Develop micro-simulation models appropriate to specific project needs, including: VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS
  • Conduct traffic analysis for traffic management plans including projecting and analyzing diversions and summarizing benefits and costs
  • Develop and monitor budgets for project tasks.
  • Utilize travel demand modeling tools to aid in development of future traffic volume projections
  • Independently identify and analyze transportation planning issues
  • Provide quality control of traffic analyses, including traffic data, forecasts, simulation and operations analysis
  • Design Traffic Signal, Signing and Pavement Marking, Traffic Control, and ITS Plans
  • Conduct safety studies
  • Prepare detailed signal timing and phasing plans for field implementation
  • Write technical reports and create presentations of findings (samples may be required) that have been presented to a diverse group of clients and the public
  • Research and develop recommendations to implement emerging technology
  • Execute the systems engineering process and prepare concepts of operations for ITS projects

What We Prefer:

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience working with PennDOT or PA Turnpike
