Able to utilize basic setup charts, understand quality procedures and specifications, make simple machine adjustments and changeovers, requisition stock, clean fixtures, position parts, actuate, clear jams, inspect parts, monitor machine, clean and lubricate, dispose of scrap, and keep simple records. Work from demonstrations and instructions, follow simple prints for dimensions, identify parts to obtain, make up parts, and assemble units to special order, including machine arrangement and operation. Perform all duties related to initial setups requiring complete tooling changes while following set-up charts and any QA procedures. Able to perform advanced troubleshooting and make machine adjustments to obtain a quality part, operate equipment across multiple product families, and prioritize their work to ensure it's completed in the most efficient order. Maintain equipment and work area in neat and orderly condition. Perform and document all quality checks as required. Must work overtime on short notice as required. Your Credentials: Experience using basic machines and hand tools such as saws, punches, presses, nail/staple guns, hammers, screwdrivers etc. Knowledge of decimal tape measures, calipers, micrometers, comparators, gages, fixtures, and other quality equipment. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures. Solid theoretical understanding of electricity and a good aptitude for problem solving. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and peers. Dependable and responsible with good judgment and organizational skills. Good customer service, time management and follow-up skills. Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues. Knowledge of a power system analysis software Prefer experience with most of the following or similar: MCC's, Breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, performing start-up on switchgear up through 500kV class, etc. or training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, NAVY or another related program). Proven skills in written and oral communication of technical topics. Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates. Interpret specs to our customer requests to design technical solutions. Short-Circuit, LV/MV Coordination, Arc Flash. Ability to run medium studies and projects unassisted. Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures. Strong communication (written and oral). Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipment. Demonstrates the ability to operate equipment such as floor jacks, trash compactor, and vacuum cleaner, floor scrubber in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Follows instructions for safe lifting and carrying various sizes, shapes, and weight of objects; identifies/reports defective equipment; reports all job-related injuries to management. Disassembles and reassembles machines, pumps, bucket elevators, slurry equipment, filters and other processing equipment. Works independently, with no direct supervision in a high efficiency level. Learns and performs proper Allergen Elimination Procedure. Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection. Follows all applicable GMP's for the area in which he/she is assigned. Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA, plant defined GMP's, or when directed by a supervisor. Participates in all necessary safety training, team development programs, and plant initiatives. Reads (Safety Data Sheets) information and preparation and use chemical cleaning agents in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's recommendations. Assists departments in spill containment caused by various events. Assists pest control technicians by noting and communicating pest activity. Removes product debris to trash. Lock-out Tag-out and BBP (blood borne pathogens) trained. Supports and participates Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain). Collects recyclables and load into proper trailers. Mixes and handles chemical concentrates. May input chemical concentrates in to excel. May Create/Update Standard Operating Procedures.   • Must work overtime on short notice as required.

Your Credentials:

  • Experience using basic machines and hand tools such as saws, punches, presses, nail/staple guns, hammers, screwdrivers etc.
  • Knowledge of decimal tape measures, calipers, micrometers, comparators, gages, fixtures, and other quality equipment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting

The hourly range for this position is $20.50/hr - $28.50/hr based on experience.
