POSITION SUMMARY The Composite Operator may be cross-trained in Light RTM (Load and Inject), Trim and/or Lamination functions and be utilized, in those functions, throughout the facility, based on customer demand.     WHAT YOU WILL DO:   LRTM: Ensure proper waxing and care of molds/back shells (tape test every time) Use proper loading techniques to ensure material is placed correctly prior to injection Install the back shell without the glass falling Properly use the injection machine – automatic or manual systems Ensure proper vacuum operation; check/detect/correct leaks Mix resin/fillers safely and properly Use proper pulling techniques, checking for flaws in the part before and after pulling Identify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformance Proper use of hoist Maintain forklift license Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE Maintain all necessary documentation related to position   TRIM: ·         Properly inspect, use and care for cutting tools ·         Properly seat part in fixture and clamp in correct areas for proper tightness ·         Troubleshoot when vacuum fixtures do not hold seal ·         Cut to scribe line ·         Read ruler ·         Use Go/No Go Gauges ·         Confirm route card has been signed off for every step that has been completed ·         Read, understand and follow work procedures ·         Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE ·         Maintain all necessary documentation related to position   LAMINATION:   Properly assemble and disassemble/clean the lamination gun Chop or hand lay material in an even coat not using too much or too little resin Select proper rollers and roll out all air pockets Keep resin and catalyst filled Read, understand and follow work procedures Identify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformance Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE Maintain all necessary documentation related to position     WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: ·         Prior experience in composites or similar industry preferred ·         Strong problem-solving ability including troubleshooting and resolving issues ·         Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time ·         Must be able to reach and bend on a consistent basis ·         Must be able t occasionally lift 50 lbs ·         Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment ·         Effective communication skills, both verbal ad written ·         Ability to organize and prioritize workload ·         Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment ·         Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind ·         Evidence of a satisfactory work record including performance, attendance and teamwork ·         Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within the company guidelines ·         Available for overtime as needed   WHY JOIN OUR TEAM: •         We offer competitive wages with potential increases at 6 months, 1 year and annually thereafter. •         Day 1 benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability programs. •         Day 1 401k eligibility with 100% vesting of employer match! •         The ability to advance your career with a growing company. •         Employee development through a variety of training initiatives. •         We enjoy numerous employee events throughout the year. The ideal candidate for this role thrives behind the scenes and shines in front of the camera—someone with a passion for fashion, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to represent Wantable’s brand voice across photo, video, and social platforms.  Primary Responsibilities:   Studio Operations (40%) Organize and prepare merchandise for on-figure and off-figure shoots (steaming, tagging, organizing, etc.). Provide on-set styling support to the Lead Stylist as needed.  Support studio team with equipment handling, including packing and shipping items for projects and managing studio props and supplies. Help coordinate shoot-day logistics, including lunches, product pickups (mileage reimbursed), and occasional errands. Sample Coordination (40%) Receive, tag, and organize incoming product samples for marketing and campaign shoots.  Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date sample archive with accurate labeling and tracking. Conduct quality control checks to ensure color accuracy and garment integrity. Input key product data (SKUs, PO’s, sample status) and maintain sample documentation.  Content Creation & On-Camera Hosting (20%) Be a confident on-camera presence for live styling events, social media takeovers, behind-the-scenes content, and product try-ons. Collaborate with the content and social teams to film short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, etc.) Participate in omnichannel content shoots as needed (as a model, stylist, or host). Job Description

CARFAIR - COMPOSITE OPERATOR (LRTM, TRIM, LAMINATION) (STARTING $19.28)

Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

POSITION SUMMARY

The Composite Operator may be cross-trained in Light RTM (Load and Inject), Trim and/or Lamination functions and be utilized, in those functions, throughout the facility, based on customer demand.
 
 WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  LRTM:

  • Ensure proper waxing and care of molds/back shells (tape test every time)
  • Use proper loading techniques to ensure material is placed correctly prior to injection
  • Install the back shell without the glass falling
  • Properly use the injection machine – automatic or manual systems
  • Ensure proper vacuum operation; check/detect/correct leaks
  • Mix resin/fillers safely and properly
  • Use proper pulling techniques, checking for flaws in the part before and after pulling
  • Identify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformance
  • Proper use of hoist
  • Maintain forklift license
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE
  • Maintain all necessary documentation related to position

 

TRIM:

·         Properly inspect, use and care for cutting tools

·         Properly seat part in fixture and clamp in correct areas for proper tightness

·         Troubleshoot when vacuum fixtures do not hold seal

·         Cut to scribe line

·         Read ruler

·         Use Go/No Go Gauges

·         Confirm route card has been signed off for every step that has been completed

·         Read, understand and follow work procedures

·         Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE

·         Maintain all necessary documentation related to position

 

LAMINATION:

 

  • Properly assemble and disassemble/clean the lamination gun
  • Chop or hand lay material in an even coat not using too much or too little resin
  • Select proper rollers and roll out all air pockets
  • Keep resin and catalyst filled
  • Read, understand and follow work procedures
  • Identify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformance
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE
  • Maintain all necessary documentation related to position

 

 WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

·         Prior experience in composites or similar industry preferred

·         Strong problem-solving ability including troubleshooting and resolving issues

·         Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

·         Must be able to reach and bend on a consistent basis

·         Must be able t occasionally lift 50 lbs

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment

·         Effective communication skills, both verbal ad written

·         Ability to organize and prioritize workload

·         Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment

·         Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind

·         Evidence of a satisfactory work record including performance, attendance and teamwork

·         Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within the company guidelines

·         Available for overtime as needed
