Harvest Preparatory Academy is a public charter school serving PreK-12. HPA is dedicated to providing students a dynamic academic program of student centered instruction in a college preparatory setting. We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Substitute Teachers for the Special Education Department in Yuma and San Luis.

Duties

• Provides instructional to students as directed by classroom teachers.
• This may involve individual tutoring, small group instruction, supervision within the computer lab, etc.
• Supervises the classroom in the absence of a teacher, as needed.
• Performs various types of clerical work as directed by the Special Education teacher.
• This may involve, but is not limited to grading papers, recording grades, and/or attendance, copying materials, filing papers, etc.
• Supervises students within a classroom, during lunch periods, on school grounds and at school activities.
• With teachers and other staff members, will be responsible for knowing Education Board policies and ensuring that policies are enforced.
• This may entail correcting student behavior, testifying at hearings, and conferring with parents.
• Performs duties in a manner that motivates students to excel, and is respectful of students, parents, co-workers and Administrators.
