JOB DESCRIPTION: The Trim Technician is responsible for the trimming of dried cannabis flower while complying with all state/local laws and company policy. Under the direction of the Post Production Manager, the Trim Technician prepares the cannabis flower for packaging while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, quality control, and professionalism. This role is responsible for evaluating and identifying any irregularities/contaminants with the material in accordance with company policy and state regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares the trimming station at the beginning of each shift for the processing of cannabis. Processes dried cannabis flower by carefully trimming away sugar leaves and fan leaves. Returns all trimmed cannabis, trim, waste, and sift upon completion of each allocation to the Trim Lead to record metrics. Assists with Fresh Frozen harvests. Ensures all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality, compliance, and successfully conforms to all state regulations, organizational standards and procedures, and security protocols. Works successfully in a team setting, takes instructions well, and helps with tasks as delegated by Lead or Manager. Manages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals (minimum 454g per day trimmed), while consistently producing quality work at a steady pace. Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation inside the processing area and participates in the clean-up of equipment and the workplace at the end of every shift. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs product inspection for irregularities, particulates, and other contaminants. Verifies that raw materials meet specifications. Ensures the product is “jar-ready” by properly trimming the cannabis without hedging the flower. Documents non-compliance and works with the Manager and/or Lead if further action is needed. Submits all waste to the appropriate location for particulate identification or microbial analysis if needed, and disposes of it in accordance with company policy and state regulations. Assist with warehouse operations including inventory control, maintenance planning, and equipment replacement schedules. Prepare briefings and decision documentation related to the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and USMC supply protocols. Interpret and apply knowledge of the Custodian Asset Report (CAR) and Consolidated Memorandum Receipt (CMR) for accurate tracking and reporting of property. Conduct field inspections of live training systems and minor training devices (e.g., battlefield effects simulators, portable targets, PITS, ITESS/SESAMS, virtual simulators). Support training resource gap assessments by identifying shortfalls in training system availability and utilization.
