Responsibilities & Expectations: Our hard-working Construction Laborers support our industrial construction projects in the shop and field. This person will perform a variety of construction-related manual labor tasks. Travel to customers in the Western US will be essential for this role. Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, etc. Assisting craft workers such as electricians, welders and underground utilities with their duties, if needed Transport and operate of heavy machinery and equipment used in construction sites Digging and backfilling trenches Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors Following all health and safety regulations Successfully completing any required site task or safety training Qualifications and Competencies: Experience level should be Mid-Level to Experienced specifically in construction Knowledge of processing, placing and compacting fill dirt Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar tying, concrete pouring, screeding and finishing is highly desired Heavy Industrial Construction experience Experience operating backhoes, front end loader and skid steer highly desired No formal qualification is required, but a high school diploma is preferred Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds Communicates effectively Works well independently and with a team Knows construction math skills, including how to convert quantities and take measurements Driving to job sites is a regular function of this role Must be able to travel in the local area and throughout AZ as needed Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver's license Must be willing to confidently submit to the background and drug screening process You'll thrive at IPS if you… Lead with integrity and prioritize safety. Job Description

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Our hard-working Construction Laborers support our industrial construction projects in the shop and field. This person will perform a variety of construction-related manual labor tasks. Travel to customers in the Western US will be essential for this role.

  • Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools
  • Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites
  • Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, etc.
  • Assisting craft workers such as electricians, welders and underground utilities with their duties, if needed
  • Transport and operate of heavy machinery and equipment used in construction sites
  • Digging and backfilling trenches
  • Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors
  • Following all health and safety regulations
  • Successfully completing any required site task or safety training

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Experience level should be Mid-Level to Experienced specifically in construction
  • Knowledge of processing, placing and compacting fill dirt
  • Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar tying, concrete pouring, screeding and finishing is highly desired
  • Heavy Industrial Construction experience
  • Experience operating backhoes, front end loader and skid steer highly desired
  • No formal qualification is required, but a high school diploma is preferred
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Communicates effectively
  • Works well independently and with a team
  • Knows construction math skills, including how to convert quantities and take measurements
  • Driving to job sites is a regular function of this role
  • Must be able to travel in the local area and throughout AZ as needed
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Must be willing to confidently submit to the background and drug screening process
