Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional K-pop music instructor to teach part-time at Riverdale Music Academy , in Riverdale, New Jersey. We are looking for instructors who will teach IN PERSON. Teachers must be available on a weekly basis . Both students and school staff appreciate consistency, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young students, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-45/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Job Responsibilities Lead Fun and Engaging Classes: Teach age-appropriate lessons that combine K-pop music and beginner choreography. Introduce Music and Dance Concepts: Design activities that help students explore rhythm, tempo, and foundational movement skills. Design Accessible Routines: Create choreography that matches students' skill levels and encourages self-expression, collaboration, and confidence. Select Engaging Repertoire: Choose music that is age-appropriate and fun for students to learn and perform. Prepare Students for a Showcase: Plan and rehearse a final performance that highlights students' progress and enthusiasm. Foster an Artistic Community: Cultivate a classroom environment that celebrates creativity, inclusion, and mutual respect. Coordinate with Staff: Communicate regularly with the general manager and staff to ensure the program runs smoothly. Qualifications Experience teaching or leading K-pop music and dance programs for children from 7 to 17 years old. Performance experience. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument, preferably the piano or guitar. Proficient in both the Korean language and English language. Strong classroom management skills. Job Description

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional K-pop music instructor to teach part-time at Riverdale Music Academy, in Riverdale, New Jersey. We are looking for instructors who will teach IN PERSON. 

Teachers must be available on a weekly basis. Both students and school staff appreciate consistency, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young students, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-45/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Fun and Engaging Classes: Teach age-appropriate lessons that combine K-pop music and beginner choreography.
  • Introduce Music and Dance Concepts: Design activities that help students explore rhythm, tempo, and foundational movement skills.
  • Design Accessible Routines: Create choreography that matches students' skill levels and encourages self-expression, collaboration, and confidence.
  • Select Engaging Repertoire: Choose music that is age-appropriate and fun for students to learn and perform.
  • Prepare Students for a Showcase: Plan and rehearse a final performance that highlights students' progress and enthusiasm.
  • Foster an Artistic Community: Cultivate a classroom environment that celebrates creativity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
  • Coordinate with Staff: Communicate regularly with the general manager and staff to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or leading K-pop music and dance programs for children from 7 to 17 years old.
  • Performance experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one musical instrument, preferably the piano or guitar. 
  • Proficient in both the Korean language and English language.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Consistent weekly availability.
