Gabletek is seeking candidates who want to become welders. We do a two-week evaluation and then we start you off at $17.50 an hour to train. You will learn how to do the following:

  • MIG & TIG welding fundamentals and theory
  • Follow welding diagrams, work orders and frame design layout
  • Setup, operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in a jig
  • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical positions
  • Grind welds flush and smooth with proper feathering of welded/ground area to flat surfaces
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and record keeping
