As a Sterile Processing Instrument Tech at MercyOne, the primary purpose of the sterile processing Instrument Specialist (IS) is to collect, decontaminate, inspect, process, assemble, and sterilize reusable medical instruments and equipment, in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the products Instructions for use (IFU). Job Description: The Preventive Maintenance Technician/Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of manufacturing equipment and systems. Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Surgical Technologist II is a proficient level practitioner who assists surgeons and nurses with patients, equipment preparation, aseptic technique, and surgical procedures in the operating room. They will prepare the operating room for surgery by assembling routine supplies, materials, instruments, and equipment, and will obtain special supplies indicated by physician. They also set up and operate a variety of specialized instrumentation, manual and powered equipment. Job Functions: Functions as the scrub person and assists as trained during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure. Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure and performs surgical counts with the circulating RN according to policy. Maintains an organized sterile field and ensures the sterility of the field by taking corrective action as needed. Assists with the placement of sterile drapes. Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique. Retrieves and collects specimens and labels specimens appropriately and correctly.   • Perform all floor cleaning and maintenance duties for facilities using ServiceMaster provided tools and procedures

  • Must achieve thorough understanding of floor maintenance procedures such as but not limited to, stripping and waxing, identifying different flooring types.
  • Ability to operate various floor equipment and machinery
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Use proper PPE and safety equipment as required
  • Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a floor tech is highly desiredbut not required·
  • Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethicand willingness to learn
  • Experience working for a professional janitorial or floor care company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
  • The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
  • Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
  • Must be able to communicate in English

Physical Demands and Qualifications:
