We are looking for an independent, results oriented and self-motivated technician to provide a variety of service, training, and technical service support activities for a variety if cryogenic applications including mobile vehicles manufactured by the D&S Division at the Chart-New Prague, MN facility. What Will You Do? Ensure timely and continuous quality service to the customer, by phone or site visits when necessary. Work with manager on customer communication. Prepare detailed service reports. Maintain tools and test equipment used for commissioning/service. Coordinate contact with all levels of supervision. Troubleshoot control systems. Read and understand electrical schematics and use of troubleshooting tools and meters. Read and understand plumbing schematics. Coordinate, perform and report results from testing. This includes logging results as required by written or verbal instructions. Adhere to contractual service agreements per sales and customer service directives. Perform quality tests as instructed by work instructions, engineering, or supervisor to ensure product quality. Weld using MIG and/or TIG in field conditions. Install equipment including bulk tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, dosers, etc. Utilize ISO 9000 knowledge and application standards. Observe and practice safety procedures and policies. Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Extensive travel to customer sites. Both outdoor and indoor work. Office and plant work. Exposure to metal cuttings and welding odors. May involve exposure to temperature extremes Occasional weekend and holiday work Required use of personal protective equipment. Frequent standing, sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, and walking, Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs., occasional heavier lifting. Occasional pushing, pulling of materials up to 40 lbs Your Experience Should Be... At least 1-2 years' experience, Tig welding experience, preferably with piping. Excellent communication skills used in answering customer's questions and performing field service. Ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics preferred. Work well in teams and independently. Read and understand detailed blueprints. Must possess a working knowledge of personal computers including MS Office, JD Edwards. Basic understanding of Industrial Controls and PLC's Basic understanding of cryogenic liquids and gases, and thermodynamics.

What you will do Role Overview: The Solar FST I will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of EDPR NA's operating solar generation sites. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to completing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation that is required to conduct PV solar system maintenance in the safest manner possible. You will also perform inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with EDPR policies, governmental safety guidelines, and environmental regulations. We are looking for an independent, results oriented and self-motivated technician to provide a variety of service, training, and technical service support activities for a variety if cryogenic applications including mobile vehicles manufactured by the D&S Division at the Chart-New Prague, MN facility.

What Will You Do?

  • Ensure timely and continuous quality service to the customer, by phone or site visits when necessary.
  • Work with manager on customer communication.
  • Prepare detailed service reports.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment used for commissioning/service.
  • Coordinate contact with all levels of supervision.
  • Troubleshoot control systems.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics and use of troubleshooting tools and meters.
  • Read and understand plumbing schematics.
  • Coordinate, perform and report results from testing. This includes logging results as required by written or verbal instructions.
  • Adhere to contractual service agreements per sales and customer service directives.
  • Perform quality tests as instructed by work instructions, engineering, or supervisor to ensure product quality.
  • Weld using MIG and/or TIG in field conditions.
  • Install equipment including bulk tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, dosers, etc.
  • Utilize ISO 9000 knowledge and application standards.
  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Extensive travel to customer sites.
  • Both outdoor and indoor work.
  • Office and plant work.
  • Exposure to metal cuttings and welding odors.
  • May involve exposure to temperature extremes
  • Occasional weekend and holiday work
  • Required use of personal protective equipment.
  • Frequent standing, sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, and walking,
  • Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs., occasional heavier lifting.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling of materials up to 40 lbs

Your Experience Should Be...

  • At least 1-2 years' experience, Tig welding experience, preferably with piping.
  • Excellent communication skills used in answering customer's questions and performing field service.
  • Ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics preferred.
  • Work well in teams and independently.
  • Read and understand detailed blueprints.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of personal computers including MS Office, JD Edwards.
  • Basic understanding of Industrial Controls and PLC's
  • Basic understanding of cryogenic liquids and gases, and thermodynamics.
