Engineering Technician- Dowagiac, MI (Direct Hire)

Job Summary

We are hiring an Engineering Technician (Entry-Level / Trainee) to support manufacturing and production operations. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates interested in developing hands-on experience with PLC programming, robotics, and industrial automation.

Starting Pay Range

• $24.75/hr. - $33/hr.

Available Shift

• 1st Shift, Monday- Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform PLC troubleshooting and support automation systems
• Assist with robot programming (Fanuc preferred)
• Manage machine recipes and Ignition systems
• Troubleshoot AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) systems
• Complete work orders to support production
• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment
• Provide technical support and assist with training
• Follow Lean Manufacturing practices to improve efficiency
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of engineering, automation, or industrial systems
• Strong math and computer skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years with:
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Fanuc robots
• Ignition software
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices

Physical Requirements

• Standing, sitting, and movement for extended periods
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and work in industrial environments
• Exposure to noise and manufacturing conditions
