Overview An Engineering Technician 6 provides advanced technical support for evaluating, troubleshooting, and repairing Depot Level Repairable and shipboard SSEE systems. The role supports fleet operations by resolving CASREPs, maintaining bench stock, assisting with future demand analyses, and offering onsite or helpdesk assistance as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing installation drawings, participating in Tier I and II meetings, ensuring APL compliance, tracking maintenance progress, and performing Beyond Economical Repair analyses. The technician prepares detailed repair and testing reports, manages data in MS Access, and uses advanced electronic test equipment such as signal generators, multimeters, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. As an Ortho Tech at DMOS working in West Des Moines, you'll help our patients get back to living by taking an important step in their care by gathering basic information to efficiently support the Physician during a patient's appointment. Every day you will work alongside our Physicians and fellow clinical team members to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets seen in a timely fashion. To thrive in this role, you have a passion for patient care and orthopaedic field. This is a Monday - Friday full-time (40-hrs) opportunity, with a 1 Saturday (8AM-12PM) coverage every 6-8 weeks. You are the patient's kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment assisting with casting, cast removal and wound care. About the unit 7 North is a 39-bed Medical Surgical GI/GU unit located in Butterworth Hospital. This unit is known for its outstanding teamwork and welcoming atmosphere! At 7 North opportunities to learn and grow never stop due to the variety in patient population, this unit is considered a medical/surgical unit but specializes in the care of urology and surgical oncology post-operative patients as well as those with gastrointestinal diagnoses. This team stands out as being experts in nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters and urologic care, and managing the care of wounds, ostomies, tubes and drains.
