A Surgical Tech First Assist will support the surgical team in delivering high-quality patient care in the operating room, assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals in a variety of surgical procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures by providing first assist support, including suturing, clamping, and cauterizing as directed. PROGRAM DETAILS: The Western States CAT Technician Academy is an elite instructional program tailored to the heavy equipment industry. Located at our Kimberly, Idaho branch, this 10-month program includes 8 months of instructor-led training and labs, followed by a two-month paid internship. Students will be educated in heavy equipment diesel theory including engine fundamentals, powertrains, machine hydraulics, fuel systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, preventative maintenance, and more. Once the classroom requirements are complete, students will begin a two-month paid internship in their designated branch within the Western States territory. During the paid 2-month internship, students will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and mentors as they apply their education in one of our state-of-the-art facilities. Upon successful completion of the Tech Academy, student interns will have the opportunity to join the WSECO team as full-time technicians. APPLICATION PROCESS: Interested applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and are required to complete the Western States online employment application.
