Key Responsibilities Production Line Quality & Compliance Perform start of shift line checks and verify QA critical equipment (metal detectors, X ray units, checkweighers). Conduct routine QA audits throughout the production run, including net weights, moisture/salt percentages, blend formulas, labeling accuracy, closures, and packaging. Record, review, and escalate non?conforming results. Validate product specifications, codes, and customer/Material Order requirements. Support corrective actions to resolve quality issues immediately. Microbiological & Analytical Testing (as applicable on 3rd shift) Conduct basic microbiological testing (APC, yeast/mold, environmental swabs). Perform analytical checks including pH, salt/moisture, gas levels, and equipment calibration. Maintain incubators and lab instruments used in overnight testing. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Follow all GMP, HACCP, and FDA food safety standards. Document deviations, incidents, and non?conformances. Place materials/products on hold and notify management when needed. Halt production if unsafe or non compliant conditions arise. Equipment & Documentation Calibrate pH meters, salt meters, moisture analyzers, gas meters, and other QA tools. Maintain accurate QA logs, testing records, and calibration documentation. Assist with basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance during the shift. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of QA, QC, or food manufacturing experience (dairy/cheese preferred). Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and general food safety principles. Ability to work independently during overnight operations. Strong documentation, communication, and problem?solving abilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSBachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of Pharmacy • PharmD preferred; 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred • Three (2) years of pharmacist experience; Minimum two (2) years in hospital practice preferred • BLS certification within 90 days of hire • Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred • Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred1. Directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure highest quality service response and delivery consistent with established professional, regulatory and governmental standards2. Develops operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems3. Directs, implements and evaluates development of departmental, functional and/or service related policies and procedures4. Proactively assesses program, service and functional effectiveness; makes regular and consistent effort to develop and facilitate continuous process improvement.5. Plans, directs, implements and evaluates computer-based information and dispensing system to ensure ongoing efficiency and accuracy of data capture7. Develops, manages and supervises purchasing and inventory management functions to ensure cost effective inventory management while providing timely availability to appropriate pharmaceuticals and related products8. Facilitates the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles and barriers to learning; coordinates learning opportunities.9. Prepares monthly progress/operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended10. Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives11. Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor12. QA Technician – Food Manufacturing (3rd Shift, Contract-to-Hire) Location: Fairfield, New Jersey Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Model: Onsite Compensation: $23–$27 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM start time (40 hours per week) Shift Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, or 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM Contract Duration: 3?month contract with strong potential for conversion Company Overview High?volume cheese manufacturing and packaging plant that supports retail, food service, and specialty product lines. Position Overview The 3rd shift QA Technician supports overnight production by performing quality checks, verifying compliance, and ensuring all food safety standards are consistently met. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and prior experience in food or dairy manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Production Line Quality & Compliance Perform start of shift line checks and verify QA critical equipment (metal detectors, X ray units, checkweighers). Conduct routine QA audits throughout the production run, including net weights, moisture/salt percentages, blend formulas, labeling accuracy, closures, and packaging. Record, review, and escalate non?conforming results. Validate product specifications, codes, and customer/Material Order requirements. Support corrective actions to resolve quality issues immediately. Microbiological & Analytical Testing (as applicable on 3rd shift) Conduct basic microbiological testing (APC, yeast/mold, environmental swabs). Perform analytical checks including pH, salt/moisture, gas levels, and equipment calibration. Maintain incubators and lab instruments used in overnight testing. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Follow all GMP, HACCP, and FDA food safety standards. Document deviations, incidents, and non?conformances. Place materials/products on hold and notify management when needed. Halt production if unsafe or non compliant conditions arise. Equipment & Documentation Calibrate pH meters, salt meters, moisture analyzers, gas meters, and other QA tools. Maintain accurate QA logs, testing records, and calibration documentation. Assist with basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance during the shift. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of QA, QC, or food manufacturing experience (dairy/cheese preferred). Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and general food safety principles. Ability to work independently during overnight operations. Strong documentation, communication, and problem?solving abilities. Comfortable working in both production and laboratory environments.
