Overview
Job Description
- Process parts and equipment through warehouse management systems and maintain accurate database records.
- Manage assigned inventory and ensure accountability and accuracy of stock levels.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities, including documentation, data entry, and record maintenance.
- Coordinate shipment scheduling, carrier selection, dispatch, and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Review shipping and inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to warehouse and program operations.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation in support of operational and quality requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through routine tracking, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
- Support material movement, storage, and organization within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper packaging and shipment of materials in accordance with applicable military standards and customer requirements.
- Follow established procedures for handling domestic, international, and specialized shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, and banding machines.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
- Participate in safety, quality, and operational training programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, supply chain support, or related fields preferred.
- Experience within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or global logistics environments is highly desirable.
- Experience handling hazardous materials, large freight, or international shipments is a plus.
- Prior military logistics, supply, transportation, maintenance, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete a background investigation and obtain a security clearance if required
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, databases, or ERP systems preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple software platforms
- Ability to generate reports, update records, and maintain electronic documentation.
- Knowledge of military packaging and labeling standards (MIL-STD 2073, MIL-STD-129, and MIL-STD-130) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred.
