The purpose of this journeyman level position is to safely perform operational duties related to District powerhouse, dam, pumping and waterway equipment, enabling the highest possible level of generation production, equipment reliability/performance, and personnel safety. Duties assigned will relate to the following equipment: turbines, governors, generators, pumps, motors, heavy and light mobile equipment, air compressors, HVAC equipment, dam structural equipment (including spillway gates, hoists and cranes).  Qualified candidates must have extensive experience in the operation of production/generation equipment and systems. Specific Duties and Responsibilities are: Starts, stops, synchronizes and adjusts voltage, load and power factor of District turbine/generator units and auxiliary equipment. Operates and monitors plant electrical systems. Maintains specified dam flows and water levels. Reads and records instrument data. Accurately computes water flows. Prepares operating reports and maintains station records. Operates and controls low, medium, and high voltage switchgear. This may require the use of hot sticks, insulated gloves, and other safety equipment as required by industry practice and regulation WAC 45. Operates and switches distribution voltage switchgear under the direction of dispatch personnel. Operates heavy lifting equipment, including operation of 100 ton gantry crane for the lifting and adjustment of spillway gates at Box Canyon Dam. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are stocked with the necessary supplies for responding to emergencies and providing patient care. Responsibilities: Clean and wash ambulances, both interior and exterior. Stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment. Inspect and maintain medical equipment, ensuring proper function. Maintain and clean gurneys, CCT, and Bariatric equipment. Organize and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the stockroom, including medical and office supplies. Perform light maintenance, such as replacing bulbs,  and conducting tire and fluid checks. Refuel ambulances and monitor fuel levels. Assist operations with various tasks and errands as needed. Communicate proactively with the logistics supervisor/manager regarding ambulance and equipment status. Adhere to all relevant company and county guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Delivery of supplies and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds to deployment stations. Inventory management and completion of inventory requests. The Water Supply Operator I is an entry-level position requiring immediate to general  supervision.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates and monitors a variety of water supply and treatment equipment such as: Pumping systems Chemical feed systems Water storage facilities Measuring and control systems Interagency control valves and meters Pressure Reducing/Sustaining Valves Assists with the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities Performs water level measurements on groundwater wells Loads and unloads chemicals Performs basic laboratory analytical techniques on water samples Collects samples for analytical purposes Performs calculations related to dosing, flow rates, pressure and other weights and measures associated with water supply and treatment operations Complies with all safety standards and practices as they pertain to equipment, facility operations and chemical handling Available for emergency response, 24 hours/day, seven days/week Must reside within 25 miles of the nearest water system boundary where assigned in order to respond to emergencies.
