Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain the Corporate Safety Manual, Safety program and safety culture to align with FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Oversee Rail Worker Safety Certification Programs; ensure compliance with certification requirements for roadway workers, engineers, and other rail personnel.
  • Oversee and coordinate staff safety training.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance; Monitor and enforce adherence to FRA, OSHA, and other Federal, State, and local Rail Industry regulations.
  • Maintain Safety Records and Incident Reports
  • Perform inspections of construction sites and oversees inspections of other staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies, rules and regulations.

  • Have a solid working knowledge of Cal OSHA requirements.
  • Perform and support additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the company to support safety objectives and operating goals.
Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in Safety Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
  • Rail/track experience is highly preferred
  • Professional designation as a Construction Safety & Health Technician (CHST) Required 
  • A minimum of OSHA 30-hour training, First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training.
  • Computer skills and experience with MS Office to prepare and present reports
  • Great Communication skills are required
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s license
  • Strength in managing multiple competing priorities in a deadline driven environment
