Providing EHS support to departments across the site, including engineers, specialists, and technicians. Developing, implementing, tracking and rolling out EHS trainings. Monitoring waste disposal, spill prevention, and assessing risks while driving mitigation controls to lower risks. Partnering with the team to create and review risk assessments, such as JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses). Preparing and providing support for EHS-related activities and documentation. About You: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Sciences (EPA, MDEQ). Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in the EHS field. Lead the implementation of HSE training, communication of programs and best practices. Ensures all HSE training courses meet or exceed all federal and state requirements. Actively supports and contributes to site level root cause incident investigations assists in developing and implementing corrective actions to resolve HSE issues and track corrective action items to closure. Evaluate and support the development of KPI HSE metrics and review weekly and monthly incident(s) to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest. Collaborate with the HSE Team to develop and implement standardized programs to maintain full compliance with regulatory standards, with the goal of zero regulatory findings. Conducts site visits to support the preparation and implementation of corporate procedures/requirements/programs that will ensure compliance with the Corporate HSE Management System (HSEMS) as well as federal/state/local regulations. Provide onsite support to Branch level as well as perform annual HSE audits at all assigned regional locations. Provide strategic direction to sustain a comprehensive system for hazard prevention and control. Implement and maintain a behavior-based safety program to all assigned regional locations. Collaborate with Branch leadership to ensure all programs are being fully executed. This includes developing and providing guidance to all Managers and safety personnel at all assigned regional locations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time. BS from an accredited college/university in a combined program in Management or Science of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental disciplines is preferred. An Engineering degree will be considered with appropriate experience and certifications. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on professional health, safety, and environmental experience in manufacturing or service center environments is required. Multi-site management experience is preferred. About the Team:

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is responsible for risk management and compliance to support frontline operations, manufacturing processes and test and launch campaigns. We develop programs, processes, controls, and other solutions aimed at empowering all Relativity employees to drive our safety culture and prevent injuries in the workplace, while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS team leads efforts in creating an environment that fosters safety and operational excellence for our employees at Relativity Space. We are looking for best in class EHS professionals who are looking for a fresh experience to hone their craft and are excited at the prospect of shaping the future of spaceflight.

About the Role:

EHS Specialists are the initiators for tasks and objectives related to larger projects and EHS strategy at Relativity's locations. Specialists are strategic project managers, safety culture drivers, and EHS subject matter experts.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Drive incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
  • Providing EHS support to departments across the site, including engineers, specialists, and technicians.
  • Developing, implementing, tracking and rolling out EHS trainings.
  • Monitoring waste disposal, spill prevention, and assessing risks while driving mitigation controls to lower risks.
  • Partnering with the team to create and review risk assessments, such as JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses).
  • Preparing and providing support for EHS-related activities and documentation.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Sciences (EPA, MDEQ).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in the EHS field.
  • Comfortable using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience performing JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses) and conducting field inspections.
  • Experienced and comfortable delivering training on EHS topics.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Completion of coursework or training on following topics:
  • OSHA 30 hour - Relativity will provide this training after start date
  • Forklift and/or Aerial lift operator certified
  • Train the Trainer for any EHS Programs
  • RCRA / DOT Hazardous Waste Certified
