Skills & Knowledge Required Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalency, some college level course work a plus 5+ years of experience in Petrochemical manufacturing Technical Skills: Demonstrated understanding of the principles of process operations and maintenance activities. Good understanding of consequences of actions and decisions with respect to safety and environment. Basic understanding of safety concepts and best practices and how they are applied in the chemical industry Competent with using standards and codes and familiar with regulatory requirements. Basic understanding of resource constraints Specific knowledge in areas of assigned responsibility (equipment/standards/ procedures/policies) Capable of understanding the goals of the operation and how they apply to the work they are doing. Your expertise enables you to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could impact the mission success of our customers.

What You'll Do

In the role of Environmental Safety & Health Manager, your duties will include:

  • Manage environmental programs for compliance, pollution prevention, and /or natural resource protection programs.

  • Prepares and oversees SOWs and cost estimates for environmental studies, designs, and projects.

  • Continually ensures and monitors compliance and investigations of non-compliant issues.

  • Establishes and manages hazardous waste storage and disposal policies and practices.

  • Oversees identification and validation of potential contaminated sites and development/implementation of remedial action plans.

  • Manages staff, budget and policies affecting specific programs.

  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an active US Secret security clearance and be eligible and willing to upgrade to a TS/SCI w/ Poly

  • Five plus (5)+ years of professional experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Protection Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; OR - H.S. Diploma or equivalent AND 10+ years' experience in the related discipline.

  • Credentialed/Certified in one of the relevant areas of expertise: (Professional Engineer License, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, qualified environmental professional or approved equivalent).

  • Expert knowledge of occupational safety and health to include: fire protection engineering, environmental compliance, restoration managements concepts, principles, practices, procedures, body of laws and regulations.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS
