The Parking Hut Attendant is part of the Ticketing & Sales Office team.  Exceptional customer service and outstanding patron experience is part of the team’s responsibility. The entrances to the grounds at Chautauqua Institution are staffed by a Gate Attendant.  In addition to scanning the credentials for entry/exit to the grounds, the Gate department staff greet patrons and provide directions as well as general information.  The gates are typically staffed every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; hours of operation may vary based on business needs. The Parking Hut Attendant may stand for two to four hours during peak periods and is subject to environmental conditions such as weather, sun, wind and humidity.

About the Referral Program

Chautauqua Institution’s Referral Bonus Program is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:   

Schedules are typically either a four or eight-hour shift with a start time that varies between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  for a total of 20-35 hours per week.  Scheduled hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

No employer-provided housing is available for this position. Applicants should plan to secure independent housing or reside within a commutable distance.

Chautauqua Institution is a not-for-profit global convener of dialogue on the most significant issues of the day through engagement across four pillars of the arts, education, religion, and recreation.
