You will oversee the implementation of the food safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production, while driving continuous improvement, supporting leadership with technical expertise, and preparing the brewery for third-party certifications to uphold market leadership. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6:45 AM - 3:45 PM Additional Sites for Coverage: Pediatrics, Elm, EVP, Downtown, Hickory, San Marcos, Valley Center, Grand, Ohio, and Ivy RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety & Security Operations Conduct high-visibility security patrols throughout clinical buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter incidents, identify risks, deter theft, violence, and unsafe behaviors Monitor and report potential safety hazards or environmental concerns (e.g., broken lights, spills, unsafe walkways) Respond promptly and professionally to incidents involving patients, visitors, or staff, and conduct thorough and timely documentation Follow established safety protocols and organizational procedures in all interactions and decisions Make decisions according to proper policies and procedures Always remain alert and visible to provide a reassuring presence to patients, staff, and visitors Enforcement of access control policies, visitor screening, and facility protocols in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner When requested, escort employees, visitors, or patients to vehicles or destinations, especially in low-light and high-stress situations Complete Security Event Log (SEL) entries thoroughly and promptly after incidents or observations Administration & Compliance Greet and assist patients, employees, and guests in a professional and courteous manner Escort patients in need using facility-provided wheelchairs and ensure safe transport to and from entrances Perform occasional basic maintenance tasks without compromising security responsibilities when safety or cleanliness is compromised Report any unsafe conditions to safety/security leadership Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare's Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) and report any injuries/unsafe conditions immediately Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safety work practices Be knowledgeable of each site's fire extinguishers, emergency exits, evacuation routes, and utilities shut offs Follow all infection control procedures including blood-borne pathogens protocols Maintains privacy of all patients, participants, employees and volunteer information and access to such information for official purposes only Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and safety/security obligations Report on all behavior, activity that is unethical, fraudulent or unlawful to safety and security management Security Officer Duties & Expectations Serve as a role model for professionalism, customer service, and safe conduct across all sites Travel between Neighborhood Healthcare sites for training, event support, critical incident response and other operational needs Demonstrate compassion, integrity, and cultural sensitivity in every interaction Help create a welcoming and caring environment for those we serve Support the organization's mission by promoting safety that reinforces trust, equity, and access to care Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that instills confidence in patients, visitors, and staff Participate in regular safety and security training, including de-escalation, emergency preparedness, and healthcare compliance Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to sites for operational needs EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required Current active CA Guard Card required BLS certified or willing to certify within 30 days of employment One year's experience as security officer required or similar work experience Valid CA driver's license and proof of valid auto insurance required Must have a personal cell phone to use for work (monthly stipend provided by NHC) and personal vehicle to drive between sites (mileage reimbursement paid by NHC) Experience in healthcare, public safety, or community service settings preferred Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred Pay Range: $21.01 - $29.42 per hour, Depends on Experience (DOE) Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. In the role of Beverage Food Safety Lead working in our Fort Worth Brewery, you will be part of the Brewery Quality team. You will oversee the implementation of the food safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production, while driving continuous improvement, supporting leadership with technical expertise, and preparing the brewery for third-party certifications to uphold market leadership.

This position reports to Sr Manager - Quality Assurance.

What You'll Be Brewing:

  • Drive the implementation of the Corporate Food Safety program across the site by strengthening organizational capability, ensuring compliance with prerequisite programs, identifying and closing certification gaps, and aligning operations with customer contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and prepare compliance documents and reports for current and new product lines required by the regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Identify and assess potential Food Safety and Quality hazards, vulnerabilities, and risks within the site. Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies, including preventive controls, monitoring systems, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal reviews and audits identifying gaps and opportunities in the current applicable standards and create new procedures when needed

Key Ingredients:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in food science OR equivalent experience (5+ years) in the field of food safety
  • You have at least 5+ years experience in food safety in non-alcoholic manufacturing facilities with experience in certification scheme and third-party audit
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks independently.
  • Excel in communication, decision-making, and maintaining thorough documentation and follow-up.
  • Highly adaptable to change, with a proactive and flexible approach to evolving demands and environments.
