The Security and Safety Systems Administrator (SA) will support the installation, configuration, administration, and operational maintenance of Geico's physical security systems infrastructure to include personnel access control, CCTV surveillance, threat intelligence, gunshot detection, incident reporting and management, and mass communication systems. The SA will provide technical support and system training to various teams within Corporate Security. The SA will monitor infrastructure performance and work to resolve issues directly with security team members and system integrators. You Will: Perform security system administration, configuration management, routine maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity Assist in the coordination of system implementation and upgrades; provide technical and operational guidance to security integrators Collaborate and coordinate with IT stakeholders to ensure compliance with IT standards and network connectivity for all physical security devices Manage maintenance work order process and provide updates as necessary Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis Assists in training of end-users and other support personnel on security applications Manage inventory of security equipment, components, and consumables Keep informed of current security trends, standards, guidelines, developments, and techniques Perform other duties as assigned Conform with all company policies and procedures You Have: Knowledge Knowledge of Physical Security Systems best practices, guidelines, and standards Intermediate knowledge of networked access control and badging systems, video management systems and alarm systems Professional board certification in a relevant security discipline preferred Basic knowledge of IP-based intercom systems, visitor management principles and mass notification systems Knowledge of personnel access control and intrusion detection systems, access control hardware (eg PIR/REX devices, strikes, locks), and asset protection strategies Knowledge of basic electrical theories and circuitry concepts Understanding of permit, inspection, and licensing requirements for system installations Proficient with Microsoft office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint Proficient with the following technologies: Active Directory, Windows and Linux operating systems, network cabling/switches, server administration, system remote management, as well as data import, export and manipulation Skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems efficiently Ability to read electronic schematic and architectural drawings; basic electrical engineering or cabling experience is a plus Ability to coordinate multiple complex technical issues Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical instructions Proven self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholder groups Developing and sustaining internal/external customer relationships Good organizational skills Team player with the ability to effectively work individually in a fast paced environment Education Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) in related field or equivalent work experience required Experience 1-2 years of experience with physical security system design and engineering 1-2 of experience planning and executing security systems installations in office and data center deployments Working Conditions Normal office environment Must be able to be on-call or work weekends and extended periods to implement and maintain physical security systems and support physical security operations Up to 25% travel Annual Salary $65,600.00 - $129,150.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. The Security and Safety Systems Administrator (SA) will support the installation, configuration, administration, and operational maintenance of Geico's physical security systems infrastructure to include personnel access control, CCTV surveillance, threat intelligence, gunshot detection, incident reporting and management, and mass communication systems. The SA will provide technical support and system training to various teams within Corporate Security. The SA will monitor infrastructure performance and work to resolve issues directly with security team members and system integrators.

You Will:

  • Perform security system administration, configuration management, routine maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity

  • Assist in the coordination of system implementation and upgrades; provide technical and operational guidance to security integrators

  • Collaborate and coordinate with IT stakeholders to ensure compliance with IT standards and network connectivity for all physical security devices

  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis

  • Assists in training of end-users and other support personnel on security applications

You Have:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Physical Security Systems best practices, guidelines, and standards

  • Intermediate knowledge of networked access control and badging systems, video management systems and alarm systems

  • Professional board certification in a relevant security discipline preferred

  • Basic knowledge of IP-based intercom systems, visitor management principles and mass notification systems

  • Knowledge of personnel access control and intrusion detection systems, access control hardware (eg PIR/REX devices, strikes, locks), and asset protection strategies

  • Knowledge of basic electrical theories and circuitry concepts

  • Understanding of permit, inspection, and licensing requirements for system installations
