Job Description

The District Safety Coordinator is responsible for understanding the vision of the Firetrol Corporate Safety Department and coordinating the implementation of the safety program on the local level for our Dallas, Fort Worth & Tyler, TX offices.

The following duties and/or responsibilities will be the daily focus of this position.

· Support all Firetrol Operations teams (Contracts, Services, Inspection) with job-specific safety requirements

· Conduct both planned and unannounced job site visits to ensure compliance with OSHA and Firetrol standard field safety protocols

· Perform field investigations, in cooperation with Corporate Safety Leadership, of any accident or incident loss

· Conduct in-person training/corrective mentoring to staff in the field

· Coordinate specialty training needs for Departments and Projects

· Identify safety trends, both positive and negative, to help refine our total safety program

· Perform, or ensure assigned drivers and their supervisors are performing regular vehicle inspections of Company vehicles, trailers and UTVs

· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

· Review reports from Firetrol’s Learning Management System to promote completion of district and corporate safety training requirements

· Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to possess the following:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)

· High School Diploma or equivalency

· College coursework and/or diploma in Safety-related topics is preferred

· OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain OSHA 30 within 30 days of assignment

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

· Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

· Due to covering multiple offices and job sites throughout the Dallas, Fort Worth and Tyler offices, some travel in a company vehicle is required.

· Must possess a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements to perform this position are as follows:

· Must be able to visit construction sites and other facilities where walking, climbing ladders & stairs, navigating rooftops, and walking on uneven surfaces is required.

· Must be able to enter and maneuver in crawl spaces, attics, or other areas where fire protection systems may be installed.

· Must be able to see and identify hazards, sometimes at a distance.

· Ability to work in extreme temperatures where fire protection may be installed, such as freezers, attics, or other high-temperature facilities.
