The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for independently leading, supporting and providing direction to an audit team to execute a continuous risk assessment, complex pharmacy/financial/operational audits, strategy and governance reviews, and other special projects for the enterprise, across all lines of business and functions, in accordance with professional and departmental standards. Supports the audit plan development process through business leadership meetings, identifying risk, and suggesting audits. How You Will Make an Impact Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Lead the development and execution of high-quality assessments of the Company's complex processes and controls (including pharmacy) for accuracy, completeness, effectiveness and compliance. Identify risks and collaborate with team leadership, business management and external auditors on audit planning, testing and evaluation procedures, which includes working with the business on process, controls, documentation and issues. Prepare clear, accurate and concise audit work papers that summarize scope, audit plan methodology and conclusions for audit field work and provide sufficient evidentiary data to support the work performed. Present any findings/deficiencies to the lead auditor along with recommendations for remediation. Work with business partners to address deficiencies or findings through periodic monitoring and retesting. Review work performed by others, provide recommendations for improvement, and training to new or less experienced auditors. May support internal and external audit/compliance groups with various activities that may include, testing, documentation, client request materials, and data validation. Perform special projects and assignments under direction of department management. Minimum Requirements: BA/BS in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience; or 4 years in public accounting (e.g., Big Four firm); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: Experience with pharmacy benefit management, operations and/or specialty pharmacy. Knowledge or experience with the State Boards of Pharmacy requirements. Experience with IT systems supporting pharmacy and/or specialty pharmacy. Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems (e.g., Workiva WDesk, Highbond, Audit Board, ServiceNow, etc.). Detailed understanding of auditing concepts and principles, and how to apply them. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact and engage with associates across multiple locations. Strong critical thinking skills. MBA or CPA/CIA/CISA certification. Project management, process improvement, and quality oversight background. Public accounting (e.g., Big Four) audit experience. All such target-based bonuses are calculated based on the Company and an individual’s periodic performance and will only be awarded if: (a) the employee is meeting performance expectations and is an employee in good standing of the Company; (b) the target is met; and (c) the Company’s current financial performance and market conditions permit the bonus to be paid out. All periodic bonuses are discretionary and are earned only when paid out.   Each year, the Company will decide whether the Company’s financial performance, market performance, and business realities allow it to create an annual bonus pool. All full-time employees are expected to take a minimum of one week of PTO each year.   The Company also gives paid parental leave to full-time employees who have worked for Inspire11 for a year prior to taking leave, including up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave to birth parents and up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave to non-birthing parents. Internal Audit Manager/Lead

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered.

The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for independently leading, supporting and providing direction to an audit team to execute a continuous risk assessment, complex pharmacy/financial/operational audits, strategy and governance reviews, and other special projects for the enterprise, across all lines of business and functions, in accordance with professional and departmental standards. Supports the audit plan development process through business leadership meetings, identifying risk, and suggesting audits.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of high-quality assessments of the Company's complex processes and controls (including pharmacy) for accuracy, completeness, effectiveness and compliance.
  • Identify risks and collaborate with team leadership, business management and external auditors on audit planning, testing and evaluation procedures, which includes working with the business on process, controls, documentation and issues.
  • Prepare clear, accurate and concise audit work papers that summarize scope, audit plan methodology and conclusions for audit field work and provide sufficient evidentiary data to support the work performed.
  • Present any findings/deficiencies to the lead auditor along with recommendations for remediation.
  • Work with business partners to address deficiencies or findings through periodic monitoring and retesting.
  • Review work performed by others, provide recommendations for improvement, and training to new or less experienced auditors.
  • May support internal and external audit/compliance groups with various activities that may include, testing, documentation, client request materials, and data validation.
  • Perform special projects and assignments under direction of department management.

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience; or 4 years in public accounting (e.g., Big Four firm); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Experience with pharmacy benefit management, operations and/or specialty pharmacy.
  • Knowledge or experience with the State Boards of Pharmacy requirements.
  • Experience with IT systems supporting pharmacy and/or specialty pharmacy.
  • Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems (e.g., Workiva WDesk, Highbond, Audit Board, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Detailed understanding of auditing concepts and principles, and how to apply them.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact and engage with associates across multiple locations.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • MBA or CPA/CIA/CISA certification.
  • Project management, process improvement, and quality oversight background.
  • Public accounting (e.g., Big Four) audit experience.
  • Understanding of insurance company operations.
