What You Will Do: Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Atlanta Distribution Center located at 5350 Hunter Road, Atlanta, GA 30349. This is a part time temporary Caterpillar position intended to support the full-time production workforce. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies. Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing. Willingness to be trained on and operate cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment Report defects and need for repairs. Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative Perform housekeeping functions as required Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time What You Bring: Safety Mindset: Consistent usage of required PPE and safety procedures for tasks being performed. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Road Service Technician is expected to have mastered all applications of Preventative Maintenance and to perform basic and advanced adjustments, repairs and component replacements with limited supervision on trucks and trailers. This technician will complete lot repairs and roadside service for FleetPride customers during business hours and may be asked to participate in being on call for repairs outside of business hours. This technician will also work in the shop between service calls. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunction(s). Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions, whenever appropriate. Maintain 80% productivity Prevent comebacks/warranties Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements. Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories). Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment. Troubleshoot and repair suspension systems including leaf and coil spring systems, and Hendrickson walking beam type suspension systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning, PTO's and custom exhaust systems. Adjust, remove, and replace clutches and drivelines. Troubleshoot and repair fuel tanks, fifth wheels, trailer hitches, pintle hooks, auxiliary axles and frames. Perform tandem alignment, front axle king pin and bushing repairs. Perform basic aluminum and steel wire welding. Utilize machinery in order to repair or fabricate any driveshaft. File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. What You Will Do:

Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Atlanta Distribution Center located at 5350 Hunter Road, Atlanta, GA 30349. This is a part time temporary Caterpillar position intended to support the full-time production workforce.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
  • Willingness to be trained on and operate cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment
  • Report defects and need for repairs.
  • Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers
  • Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative
  • Perform housekeeping functions as required
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time

  • Agility: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.

What You Will Get:

  • Hours: MAKE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE! Must work at least a minimum of 10 hours with a maximum of 19 hours per pay period (every week). The amount of hours offered will be based on facility need.
  • This is a part time temporary Caterpillar position intended to support the full-time production workforce.
  • Shift: Part Time - flexible hours
  • Starting pay rate: $18.50/hour
  • Work location: Atlanta, GA

Summary Pay Range:

$18.50 - $23.10
