OVERVIEW The Sales & Service Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo's business and guest experience strategy to life in the store. This individual is passionate about business targets, sales, guest experience, and elevating talent to meet Alo's values. This role's north star is pointed at ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports. Safely operate his or her heavy truck along his or her designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility. Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner. Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures. Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste. Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies. Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate) on each disposal trip. Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, as required. Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. At the beginning of the shift change, the Quality Control Auditor is responsible for: Arrive 5 minutes prior to shift to receive production updates from previous shift's QA Auditor. Review production schedule for understanding of machines that will be running on the shift. During 'Setup' Operation, Quality Control is responsible for: Read and understand the requirements of the production order described in the job ticket. Verify that the information on the job ticket matches the production record. In the event of a discrepancy in the information, consult the shift supervisor or quality manager. Follow the requirements of the GmP protocol Checklist (CORP: FORM: 137 v1) in the case of opening a medical order. Verify that the tools and materials for production have been collected as specified in the job tickets. First Piece approval Collect product samples to verify parts are free of defects that could affect product functionality and are within specification. Take measurements on the product to ensure that the dimensions of the parts are within the established tolerances and thus meet the customer's requirements. Approve the production order by signing the inspection form after determining that the parts meet the company's Quality Policy on customer expectations. During 'Run' Operation, Quality Control is responsible for: Notify supervisors and/or the quality manager of any condition that may affect the safety of workers or the quality of the product. Perform a visual inspection hourly ensuring that the product is free of forming issues and cosmetic defects that damage the quality of the product. Document the hourly observations in detail on the Quality control Inspection Form. The frequency of dimensional inspection will be carried out as follows: for retail orders, two dimensions will be taken per shift and for medical orders, three dimensions per shift. Exceptions will only be executed if specified in the work order. Record the dimensions on the QC inspection form. Ensure that measurement tools are calibrated and free of damage that could alter the measurements collected. Inspect boxes and products to ensure that packing specifications are met. Ensure that the product is properly identified by verifying that the box label matches the product information provided in the order. Select random samples for inspection by pulling from various sections of the carton, pallet, or stacker. Verify line clearance. Make sure that the quantity and weight of the product in the boxes are accurate and in accordance with what is specified in the order. Monitor the amount of waste generated during the production cycle. Inform the supervisor when the amount of waste is scaled. Comply with the non-conforming raw materials procedure when the material has been disposed of as non-conforming. Make sure that the quality bag has the material available for production such as drawing, quality alerts, samples from the previous order, product samples, checking fixtures and others. At the end of the production run, the Quality Control Auditor is responsible for: Confirm that the quantity of product produced matches that requested by the customer. Confirm that the boxes on the pallet meet the height requested for shipment. This role's north star is pointed at ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.

Sales & Service Leader

  • Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
  • Oversee the Sales & Service team to execute an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessing the level of guest connection and technical product education and supporting team members to address gaps through feedback and coaching
  • Continue to build the client relationship daily with our customers
  • Ensure effective sales floor coverage through the development of workforce solutions and leading selling initiatives throughout the store as needed
  • Partner with the General Manager to build the Sales & Service strategy for the store and execute implementation with the Sales & Service team

Business Leader

  • Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with General Manager
  • Review, Monitor and partner with General Manager to manage the budget, reporting and other business data; including metrics (e.g. Expenses, Sell-Thru) and inform planning processes (e.g., quarterly business review and sales planning)
  • Future planning workflow business needs to protect optimal performance

People Leader

  • Ensure that the Sales, Service, and Community team exudes Alo's mission and guiding principles to effectively communicate to our guests who we are, what we do and why we do what we do
  • Leads a team through accountability, continuous coaching on a regular basis, development of talent, and elevating effective communication throughout the Operations and Visual team
  • Establish internal & external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
  • Writes an effective schedule that prioritizes the best business strategy, in partnership with the General Manager/Store Manager

Business Partner

  • Oversees the execution of certain deliverables on the Alo Sales and Service Model, protecting operational efficiency
  • Collaborates and implement General/Store Manager's vision and work cross-functionally with business partners, as directed, to support all-level organizational goals
  • Demonstrate an ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture

Sales & Service Leadership Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
  • Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
  • Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store
  • Aligns with and embodies Alo's guiding principles
  • Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
  • Ability to stand and move for an entire shift

Sales & Service Manager Schedule

To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full-time employees to be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts. All employees without exception are expected to be able to work during the company's Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January)

The Company's Sales & Service Manager base pay ranges from $60,000- $76,000/ year. Please also note, Sales & Service Managers are eligible to participate in the Company's Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may result in bringing the total compensation to a higher range. Further, the range listed is just one component of the Company's total rewards package for retail employees. Other rewards may include: clothing allowance, employee discount, 401K, competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, commuter benefits, Talkspace, and AloMoves.
