Job Description

The Patient Access clerk establishes patient accounts, gathers billing information, insurance cards where applicable, and guarantor information. Obtains appropriate signatures on the face sheet and admission papers. Directs patients to the appropriate department for services. Immediately notifies nursing supervisor or emergency room personnel of a potential critical patient. Scans required patient information into the system. Runs insurance verification report and registration quality report on daily basis.

Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: 5:30AM-2:00PM

Requirements:

  • One year of general office experience and/or equivalent education preferred.
