Plan the First Reconciliation and First Communion liturgies and a suitable reception after the liturgies for the children and their parents. Maintain membership and active involvement in professional associations of religious educators, including the National Conference of Catechetical Leadership (NCCL), Baltimore Area Catechetical Minister Association (BACM), and Anne Arundel County Coordinators of Religious Education (AACCRE). Serve as the parish-level assistant to the Virtus Coordinator and Parish Center Scheduler. Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Religious Education or Theology, preferred but not required. Relevant work experience and Religious Education as a leader, teacher, or volunteer will be highly considered. Knowledge of Diocesan guidelines and procedures. Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Working knowledge of social media platforms that work with parents and families is helpful (Flocknotes and others). Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Must be able to participate fully in the Sacramental life of the Church. Recommendation from the applicant's pastor is requested. JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

  • Develop and implement overall classroom Behavior Management Plan
  • Aid Special Education Supervisor in development and implementation of crisis cycle and sensory profile
  • Update progress towards and participate as an IEP team member 
  • Collaborate and lead Instructional Aides working in their classroom
  • Be trained in our therapeutic approaches

To be considered for this job, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Be certified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in one of the following licenses: Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830)
  • Experience working with individuals who display needs in the areas of autism, cognitive delays, EBD, mental health, and other related disabilities preferred

WAGES & BENEFITS:

  • Hours: 8-4pm during the regular school year + availability to work ESY
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday, following a traditional school calendar
  • Salary Range: $54k- $68k; Final salary based on level of education + years of experience 
  • PTO: 5 Personal days & 5 Sick days; Our teachers are paid year round!
