The Pharmacy Technician will have operational responsibility for all ongoing inventories of drug products and pharmaceutical supplies to include their procurement Responsibilities: Duties consist of pharmaceutical and medical supply order initiations, receiving shipments of goods, assuring compliance with pharmaceutical storage requirements, inventory control through perpetual analysis, funds control, liaison with company and other government representatives, and resource for financial status reports and presentations. Maintains a clean and aseptic work area and ensures strict security measures for the Pharmacy environment. Maintains accurate records of prescriptions dispensed; orders, receiving and storage of pharmaceutical supplies; consults with pharmacist or physicians and staff to clarify medication orders; assumes legal custody of controlled substances; and assures that medications are managed and dispensed in compliance with the law and that inventory control and record keeping requirements are met.
