About the Role: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and administer coursework for classes assigned for the Machine Tool Technology program. Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives. Ensure all course work for assigned classes is in alignment with the associated Course Outline of Record. Prepare classroom and shop facilities to administer course/shop work as required. Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods. Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements. Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College. Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning. Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines, and expectations. Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Has NIMS certifications for Level Milling/Turning(Chucking)/Grinding, CNC Lathe/Mill Operator or can get them upon completion of associated class. Has experience in a supervisory capacity to be able to manage students in a shop environment. Personal Characteristics: Patience Ability to adapt teaching style to fit learning environment (Shop/classroom). Ability to convey material from classroom presentations to shop situations in machining environment. This role will be responsible for executing in-depth validations of technology and cybersecurity risk/control assessments, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Essential Functions: Perform independent validation and challenge of Technology and Cyber RCSA assessments completed by the First Line of Defense (FLOD), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to Risk Management policies and procedures. Provide periodic reporting to TRM leadership, governance committees on validation outcomes, control effectiveness. Contribute to awareness and training initiatives to strengthen the program. Ensure documentation of validation activities meets internal audit and regulatory expectations, supporting a robust control assurance framework. About the Role:

Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and administer coursework for classes assigned for the Machine Tool Technology program.
  • Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
  • Ensure all course work for assigned classes is in alignment with the associated Course Outline of Record.
  • Prepare classroom and shop facilities to administer course/shop work as required.
  • Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
  • Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
  • Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
  • Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
