The Sr. Medical Information Specialist is responsible for meeting the medical information needs of internal and external Eisai customers as it relates to the company’s products. The incumbent will contribute to the development of high-quality Medical Information deliverables within the team and will be a visible member of the department by collaborating cross-functionally to meet Medical Affairs objectives. This includes but is not limited to: Leveraging scientific expertise to develop and maintain medical information for Eisai products which meets the needs of Eisai’s internal and external customers. Serving as a medical and therapeutic expert as part of collaborations between Medical Information and other Eisai departments. Researching and conducting detailed analyses of the scientific literature to communicate relevant scientific information within the department and cross-functionally. May serve as project lead to develop and update AMCP Formulary Dossiers for Eisai products. Assisting with the development and updating of compendia strategies for Eisai products. Ensuring medical accuracy of Eisai’s materials; this may include assisting with review of Eisai’s advertising and promotional and/or medical/scientific materials. May partner with Sales Training to update training programs, and utilize clinical expertise to present product and disease state information to new Sales hires. Contributing to reports on Medical Information activities to internal customers. May serve as mentor for pharmacy students participating in Eisai Clerkship Programs Responsibilities: Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients/consumers, field staff and other internal business partners. Serves as a primary point of contact for all inquiries received in Medical Information. Maintain medical information resources and contribute to development of medical information materials for assigned products and/or therapeutic areas. Analyze metrics and contribute to reports on Medical Information activities to internal stakeholders. Research and conduct detailed analyses of scientific literature for Eisai-marketed products, investigational compounds, competitor products/compounds, and related disease states. Contribute to communication, reporting and storage of findings Assist with the development and updating of compendia strategies for Eisai products. Provide scientific support at Medical Information Booths on an as-needed basis for assigned medical conferences. Ensure medical accuracy of Eisai’s advertising, promotional and scientific exchange materials in partnership with Medical Information Managers and Medical Directors for CRC and MRC processes for assigned products and/or therapeutic areas on an as-needed basis. Provide scientific support for assigned stakeholders on ad hoc projects and/or initiatives. Manage intercompany literature resources in Eisai’s literature platform. Monitor scientific literature for potential adverse event reports, report findings to Product Safety within established timeframes. Qualifications: Advanced healthcare degree or Biomedical training and education (RPh, RN , PharmD) up to 2 years of relevant experience. Prior understanding and knowledge of FDA guidances on appropriate scientific exchange practices. Demonstrated experience in medical writing and development of scientific communication materials. The Sr. Medical Information Specialist is responsible for meeting the medical information needs of internal and external Eisai customers as it relates to the company’s products. Responsibilities:

  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients/consumers, field staff and other internal business partners. Serves as a primary point of contact for all inquiries received in Medical Information.
  • Maintain medical information resources and contribute to development of medical information materials for assigned products and/or therapeutic areas.
  • Analyze metrics and contribute to reports on Medical Information activities to internal stakeholders.
  • Research and conduct detailed analyses of scientific literature for Eisai-marketed products, investigational compounds, competitor products/compounds, and related disease states. Contribute to communication, reporting and storage of findings
  • Assist with the development and updating of compendia strategies for Eisai products. 
  • Provide scientific support at Medical Information Booths on an as-needed basis for assigned medical conferences.
  • Ensure medical accuracy of Eisai’s advertising, promotional and scientific exchange materials in partnership with Medical Information Managers and Medical Directors for CRC and MRC processes for assigned products and/or therapeutic areas on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide scientific support for assigned stakeholders on ad hoc projects and/or initiatives.
  • Manage intercompany literature resources in Eisai’s literature platform.
  • Monitor scientific literature for potential adverse event reports, report findings to Product Safety within established timeframes.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced healthcare degree or Biomedical training and education (RPh, RN , PharmD) up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior understanding and knowledge of FDA guidances on appropriate scientific exchange practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical writing and development of scientific communication materials.
  • Demonstrated skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software, SharePoint, Veeva, customer relationship management software and other relevant technology and telephony systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical, analytical, and digital skills to drive efficiency.
